So I was watching Star Trek TNG the other night, and Data mentioned something about how he remembers things is somewhat similar to how we make proteins.
So here is the question...would part of that technology in the skull include a micro protein synthesizer to turn the data a person would receive to protein chains? People remember things because memories are encoded as a protein chains and stored. This is something different than the senses because yes, they are electrical signals streamed to the brain...but I don't think you could flash images in front of a person's face and they would remember it as something they've known all along. Its late and I hope I'm making sense.
