Chapter 9 Your predictions

Ummmmmmmmmmmm................ wild speculation, but it might have to do with a new Zion the Machines are building, perhaps to replace the old one, perhaps as part of their cycle. Of course, that would be pretty useless, if there wasn't a One/Negative One balance, unless the Machines have built or already own a second or numerous Matrices.

Danielle Wright will make an appearance as an angry assassin, with a temper that puts even Niobe to shame. I still don't think she's dead.
If there is a revelation, it'll be about the Machines' power supply, what with all that scouting about done by the General recently on the Merv's orders. But if the Real is a Matrix within a Matrix, I will hurt someone. Badly.
Well i think things are certainly building up for a big reveal or revelation - this war scenario (as nice as it is) is starting to wear thin a little after 3 subchapters while the build up from the merv investigations is reaching a critical.
Not to mention Rare mentioned in the Update 56 thread that things are going to be big this chapter, then theres the fact the story has only been written up to the end of 9. Any bigger pull togethers or ends to story arcs will likely be happening sometime soon.
OMG TEH ONE RETURNS OLOLOL
He never left he just had amnesia....
But if the Real is a Matrix within a Matrix, I will hurt someone. Badly.Agreed, that would be bad. Very very bad.

I'd liken that story twist to Dallas and the 'He wasn't dead, just in the shower' twist.

I imagine that the Mystery Man, or some other situation in the real world related to the Mero storyline will wind up diverting the Machines' attention away from Zion for the time being, giving Zion a chance to get their vets back in, and free some more minds.
It's Mauser.

End of mystery.
I like the idea of a new, Machine-built Zion.
So here's my go...
EPN stumbles upon the new city the Machines are building in time enough to find the extracted blues and gather at least some on their ships and bolt just before the tide of Sentinels reaches them. Of course, a few ships are taken down in the process, everyone's really pissed off. Meanwhile, Mystery Man heads to the Machine city, and a good number of Sentinels start chasing after him. 'Course, he's got super-Neo powers because he's a previous One, and starts making them drop dead casually. He gets in brief, cryptic contact with Zion or EPN and asks for a ride.

I'm hoping we get the reveal and get to move on also. Hopefully they learned from the previous chapters not to make things last forever.Well i think things are certainly building up for a big reveal or revelation - this war scenario (as nice as it is) is starting to wear thin a little after 3 subchapters while the build up from the merv investigations is reaching a critical.

I Think we get some revelations, but not all, about our mystery Man, Who I believe is working with the supposed dead Morpheus in his search for Neo.
I believe we may have some knowledge about what The Machines are doing with the Bluepills they are awakening.
Also EPN may launch some kind of attack on The Machines, possibly their Power Supply, in or out of the Matrix.
Oh and before anyone criticises me about Morpheus, these are just theories, not facts. Plus, Proc in particular, I don't criticise you about Danielle Wright not being dead, nor anyone else who think's she's alive.
The Mystery Man is either Smith/Neo (because I'm paranoid like that) or someone completely new like the General was.
I'm guessing he's someone completely new. Bringing back Neo would cheapen the story for me.

If Neo did come back, I'd rather the One program have been removed, and he's just a normal guy without the cool powers. He'd still be able to command a lot of people.
Hopefully Sarah Edmontons finally becomes a true part of the story, too. Let's close off some of these old mysteries.

Neo and Sarah..are the same thing. One can only hope

I'm so excited.
The Intruder is a One from another instance of the Matrix. Our Matrix is but one of dozens dotting the planet. He knows about them and is messing around with our simulation. He might even be part of a larger organization for all we know.
Anywho, that's my subconscious talking.

I took a nap this afternoon and got this idea from the dream within it:

It's possible, the extra pod fields could be bluepills in other Matrices and if they worked on the same principles they would have 'Ones' too. Could also explain why the Intruder's code is not native to this matrix because he belongs in another matrix. Maybe each matrix is built out of different code, which is why he is in wireframe because of compatibility issues.

I think this "thing" will accomplish one thing....and that's fear
The machines will scramble, like random robot parts all over 0-1, to keep whatever intell they have to themselves..or Agent Gray will hold back on his masterplan and details until they have further "observations"...
The Merovingians will try to intice this goober to thier side...to show they can try and control any villain and to simply promote this "fear"
Then...Zion, will try to find a way to talk to this guy..and see if they can get any leads on what he's about ....
The Cypherites...will remain jacked out until there is an event
Last but not least, EPN will investigate..and find clarity on this guy once and for all..they will obtain a passage through the Matrix into the real by way of the Ascension Monument...proving that that very door...is the prime gate way
By then, all orgs will have hardlines accsessing every construct...and The Tower will be open to all tourists..with this "thing" being the bad guy you must beat for a new drop
the new drop...should be a black hat/bandanna combination..the level spawn should be 70...and the npc's should be 55s..meaning yes...you'll need 1337 hacks or a team to get whats yours
This hat/bandanna mostlikely will be rediculous to get...(in which i sincerely hope not)..it should be directed to those duelist/smg/kniving ppls...(the ppls who like to play with toys
)
Finally, the new archive missions will offer the N30 Flame Virus (the pwneriffic purple code)...
These predictions are probably wayy off...but I tried

Last and most least, EPN will be as annoying as ever and be absolutely of no use. The Intruder will hopefully eat Kid and kill everyone (except Roukan and Phrack) in the organization because he thinks choice is but a dream in a world where everything is controlled by someone or another.
\m/><\m/
Fixed.

((Hey, check out the Kid's message in the current nearly year old sentinel - forshadowing!
Why not in a construct accessible through the door atop Ascension? (Refering to where Neo's rsi should be).
))

Ah, that's why we haven't had a Sentinel for so long. It still had important info up through this chapter.((Hey, check out the Kid's message in the

Well, I learned something astonishing today but I'm forcing myself not to put it here because it will spoil the surprise. Just take this as a warning that you may want to get a seatbelt installed on your chair.*cough*leakedinfofromLESIG*cough*
Okay, here's my off the wall theory on this guy: he's human. Not a "normal" redpill though - one of the MacHenry style unplugged humans. And he's from whatever's at the other end of those mysterious power lines. ))

<-- voteing that the Intruder is freeborn. reasons why here
Also hopeing and praying that there is at least one event with the Intruder and the Morpheus SIM. Would kick so much *CENSORED*.

Oh, and although he speaks like a human he's almost assuredly not.

That would be interesting, but then again if he/she is freeborn then how the hell is he/she jacked in?<-- voteing that the Intruder is freeborn. reasons why here

If you have ever read the book "Taking the Red Pill" there is one essay where the writer talks about how plausible aspects of the matrix's science fiction is, and the way he descirbes how the jacks in our head work, its almost impossible that a freeborn could be brought into the matrix...but he is hardly an authority, rather, one mans opinion.
However, my vote is with the fact that he might be from another matrix, with ours only being one of many, hence the incompatabilities. Hell, maybe the machines we know are only one of many factions of machines the cover the globe (not that different from the various countries of man) and one of the factions has been overthrown by the humans and now their "one" has come to our matrix. Could explain the arrogance? His concerns with weapons in the real. Maybe that theory is a bit much but I still support that trend.

No idea but I don't think that its impossible when you take into account that the first humans to be plugged into the Matrix we also all "freeborn" and without all the plugs all over their body. Then there is the idea that he's doing what Neo did, seperating his mind from his body without jacking in.
Our crew was the "Malachi X-355" and there were some other things happening but at one point we stumble across a very old Machine outpost with a giant tower. We called the tower Yggdrasil, after the mythology, and it was guarded by an old Machine sentry that we called Mimir. Anyway, some *poop* went down and some people were in trouble in the Matrix (this was before we knew about the auto-reconstruction) and so our free-born Operator ends up inside the tower and discovers that is one of the places where the Machines were experimenting on humans and found a machine which allowed him to jack in the Matrix without any jacks. It was like a headgear thing. Anyway, once inside he was super powerful, just like the Intruder seems to be, and kicked a lot of Agent *CENSORED* and freed the operatives trapped inside.
So yeah if The Intruder does end up being a freeborn human jacking in at some old outpost then that would be really crazy. I'd probably have to sue SoE for copyright violation
