A bit disappointing on the recycled factor, but happy about finally getting the black version of this coat.

I can understand why some would be dissappointed at this being a recycled texture of sorts, but the black looks way better than the red in my opinion and is worth completing the archives for.
Heh, with the Zion pants already revealed, people still thought we were gonna see something brand spanking new? I don't expect to see any 'new' clothing items, ie. clothing that isn't already in the game, for Machinists but am still looking forward to it.
All that said I have to agree with Proc, I love the black. While the female version looks like black leather the male version could almost look like black sued or dull black leather, although its probably just the lighting on it.

Well, not me, but I do know the demand's been there forever. Still, I'm surprised its another coat - can only wear one merv item at a time.
So far, the arc rewards are decent, but not spectacular. I'm still hanging on to hope for an awesome agent suit for machines - they did break the usual Zion-Mech-Merv pattern after all.
An "Agent Suit" is just a suit, that's slightly green, and has a tie clip. Seriously. That's not special. At all. The black suits are close enough.
I think it looks awesome, thought it would have been nice to have a dfferent item of clothing so you could wear both merv arc awards at the same time, this still looks very nice. Now let's just hope Zion doesn't get another beret and the Mechs some other kind of glasses =P

And anyway, what's the point? t's just a suit with a tie clip. Not a huge deal, I'd like to see something we don't have, like say, a machine captain BDU. My two cents.

I was talking about the MXO Agent suit - which is indeed black, if you turn off the green filter. At any rate, there are currently *no* female suits in existance ingame - Pace's suit as the female variant would solve this - leave the Captain getup for a quest, or something.

Also with Pace's suit it happens to be one of the many "One body type only" items meaning that unless they found the suit for the two other body types then a Female Agent suit aint happening.

I've still got faith that Rarebit can work within the limitations of the system to make it work.
Very very nice... not sure I'll grind for it, at least with my main as I already have the red and love it quite a bit, but it's a beauty of a coat none the less.
I wish the flames had a more metallic or silver color instead of a shinier or lighter/softer black. But it still looks sexy.
No, black suits aren't at all the Agent suits. Texture's different, color's different, shirt is white, there's a tie clip. It's a lot better than the current machello suit.

And I agree with the "make it a highcollar" sentiment.
As inclined as i am to get it, and as much as regardles of what i say i know i will, i really hate wearing anything that everyone else around me is wearing, drives me nuts about this game. Custom code crafting, a man can dream.

EDIT: Actually, it looks like the female coat has the proper collar on it. So it's really just the male version that's currently inaccurate. I wonder if it can be changed this late in the development period, though. Hopefully.

If I remember rightly, when the Area K was created Rarebit had to play with an existing model in order to create versions for other body types and genders. It's not impossible for single-version items (like the outfit of the Suits gang) to be adapted to our six basic skeletons, it's just a lot of tricksy work. Seeing as how he's left the Machine reward until last I think we might be in luck.

Even though it's just a recycled version of the red coat, it still looks pretty cool regardless. This would match well with the new black Hosh-Chaps. I say we get a recycled Commando Beret but in black for the Zion reward.

I remember when the Demon Army one first came out. No one could see the design at the time because there was no "gloss" filter enabled like we do have now (also it was a high collar).
If anything, I'm for:
*) The REAL Blood Drinker coat with the high collar
*) Giving players an option to trade in their existing demon army trench for a "official" demon army trench v2 (the real trench you see them wearing)

All those would be cool to get, but having something that even NPCs don't have would be cooler. Hence, no recycle content complians.
Wow! I was scurrying around in a Blood Noble mask tonight, wishing I could have that coat... and come to find out, it's the new reward for the 5-8 Merv Archs, just made my whole night!
I'm not really thrilled but I guess it's ok.. not that high on my priority list tho.
