Patch System Error (result code -47)

Last night my internet provider had 'issues' and now when I log on I get this error. (also I cant log onto xfire, don't know if that's related)



The patch servers are obviously not down and my internet is fixed so... what the hell is going on? o.O

Edit: Nevermind seems like its my providers problem and will sort itself out soon.

For future reference that is caused by a DNS service failure.

I"m getting the same message, have been for over 24hrs. I don't think it's a problem with the service provider....

ok, well for those of us who are "techno stupid" how the @#$% do you fix it?!?!?!

This is normally caused by a firewall blocking the port.

If you have a firewall installed, make sure it is allowing Launcher.exe access to the internet. If you have Zone Alarm installed, sometimes it doesn't detect that Launcher.exe has changed and so blocks it because it doesn't match the same file in it's database. What I would normally recommend doing is deleting the Firewall rule for launcher.exe and then running the game again and it should fix it.

I have this same problem, it worked yesterday for me (Nov 13,2007) but today its not working at all!
