Ok I got this screenshot from the tutorials .

First thing I wanted to do was make the redpill's skin look more "real" I started with the beard and mustache and using the sponge tool was able to give him a more detailed 5-o'clock shadow. I also used the sharpen tool for the hair and the dodge tool very lightly on his hair and darkened the rest of his hair. After that I darkened the exposed skin (giving him a tan in the process!heheh!) I think it actually brought out the facial features more! I blurred the edges so sit would mesh better.
For the coat itself I used the lasso tool and highlighted the areas on the coat I wanted a little brighter to bring out the detail, some fooling with the contrast till i got the balance i wanted.
The background i know I went a little crazy with, especially with the colored glass but to be honest i was going for bringing out the details on the redpill (I also darkened the glasses). The end result was this..
