Soooo, is the download version...

the original game?
Its been updating for almost 2 hours now and is at like maybe 1%

Well I've come to realize theres no way in hell I'm playing this tonight. Hopefully it will be done when I wake up tomorrow morning/afternoon.

Did you buy the discs or the direct2download version? Odds are they've released updated version on disc, the download version seems to be what the original release was and I had to download 2 years worth of updates. It's done now, so it didn't take more than 8 hours or so. My internet connection isn't slow, was just a lot to download.

Back in beta our T1 line was only provisioned for 192Kbps, about the same as 4 dial up modems.  It took 24 hours almost to the minute to download MxO.  As the lights on the hub blinked, I remember thinking "That's pure Matrix data coming in."  Now, the T1 is provisioned for 1.6mips up + 1.6mips down for 3.2mips total, things aren't so excruciating.

Aye, whenever I plan a reboot of windows, I ALWAYS copy SWG, MXO, EQ2 etc. So I dont have to patch them all again. Its just too long.

people still play SWG?... as much as I miss my Jedi, I could never play that game after what SOE did.

meh, I'm quitting when the EMU releases. It's not as bad as it was when the NGE came out, they've done a lot to it, but it's still SOE, so ya know.

3rd party Pre CU emulator. They've done a ton on it so far, just got vehicles in like a month ago
