Ok so I've got a new laptop (Acer Aspire 9520) with Windows Vista Home Premium and it should be powerful enough to play MxO. At first it works fine with absolutely no lag (which I'm very happy about after suffering lag on my desktop for over 2 years) but it has a graphical problem. When I first login to the loading area it can be fine but sometimes after clicking a few of the tabs it happens and it always happens when jacking in.

Here is a picture of the problem

Here are my specifications:

  • Intel Core Duo processor T7200 (2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 4 MB L2 cache)
  • 17" WXGA+ Acer CrystalBrite LCD (400 nit / 72% Color Garmut)
  • Up to 784MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 shared memory
  • 240 GB Dual HDD (120 GBx2) RAID 0, 1 and Intel Matrix RAID supported
  • HD DVD drive (support 13 optical media formats)
  • 2GB DDR2
  • 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN
  • Bluetooth 2.0+EDR

And I am using it wirelessly.

Clothing Errors

Description: Certain clothing combinations causes the entire screen to have a texture failure and display colors instead of pictures.

Fix: Well, there's not an official "fix" to this error yet, however, the first thing you really have to do is identify what clothing or clothing combinations causes this bug. Once you have that done, you should be able to realize what you shouldn't have paired up. Is that a hassle to change your clothing uniform? Yes, without a double; but, hey, Vista *is* a hassle. I'm working on a workaround with this, however, none have been currently determined as of yet.

Thanks Phi. Maybe it is the clothing that character is wearing because I've been on 2 other characters and they only have minor graphical issues (the NPCs have texture problems) but I managed to solve the facial texture problem on my characters by changing the screen resolution.

Edit: Also the sound effects in-game aren't working (opening menus, leveling abilities, etc) but the music is ok. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Did you ever get your problem fixed?

Mine is doing the same thing.

Thanx,

X.

No, 'fraid not. But that was only on one of my alts who I don't play on very much. I figured if I want to play this character I'll have to use my home PC with XP because I now use a laptop with Vista for university.
