The story was a... disappointment.

I did the whole "buy consoles for single games thing" before; bought a Gamecube then an Xbox for Perfect Dark's sequel/prequel which turned out to be on the 360... and it sucked.

Didn't feel like buying a 360 for H3, and didn't bring a TV to my dorm. I'll wait for the PC port.

But yeah, I have friends who love the game. The storyline/campaign is fun the first time through I guess, but as with a lot of single player modes not always infinitely replayable... but the multiplayer is. That's what they say at least SMILEY

Well 2 weekends ago I replayed Halo 1, this weekend and Monday evening I replayed Halo 2 before getting Halo 3. I think this made the campaign more enjoyable as I did pick up on a lot of things in Halo 3 because of it. I really like the story, but Im sad Bungie succumbed to the whining about the Arbiter, I miss his part of the story it was interesting. But, the battles were amazing and massive. And the Flood were scary and tough. And of course the escape on the warthog was great SMILEY And I havent messed too much with Forge yet, but it seems pretty cool. Saved Films are absolutely amazing, I love it. Being able to rewatch single and multiplayer matches and being able to detach the camera is great. Multiplayer is fast and fun as ever, Brute hammer is nasty on large groups of people lol. Graphics, audio, and music are all top notch.. a lot of work went into Halo 3 and it shows. Ill give halo 3 a 9.8/10. or 7 Halos out of 7.

Best of the three, I'll be starting some match making tomorrow. Gamer tag = Yasamoo. Yes, I know pretty lame. Was getting tired of seeing all of the Apost1e/4pos13/Apos/Ap0s/4postle/4p0st13 are already taken.

I ran through campaign the first time around on legendary at a friend's dorm a couple of hours before I got my own copy. I personally had the best 360 experience because of it. With all the items and whatnot that a team needs to use to help one another, it made the game more engaging and fun to play around with. Being able to look back at the film footage, where I throw down a bubble shield and then a plasma grenade with my whole team inside (by accident), killing them all, is fun in itself.

The multiplayer maps are great. The few couple of matches I've been in this week haven't been disappointing, due to the gameplay and added features.

For me, Halo 3 is a 9/10. The campaign mode, when played solo, isn't as fulfilling as the preceding games.

The final boss sucked. But the last level is brilliant! It takes you straight back to Halo 1 again. The storyline slipped a bit at times, I thought the ending was left too open, unless there's gonna be a Halo 4. However, the whole thing with Cortana really played well with the books.

All in all I still give it 10/10 because it was epic.

Graphics: 9/10 Good, but not the best ever.

Sound: 10/10 Perfection, especially in surround

Gameplay: 8/10 Good fun, but over too soon. Equipment is mostly useless, but the new weapons are great.

Story: 8/10 They tied up pretty much all the loose ends, but still left room for a sequel. Nothing too deep, but pretty satisfying.

Overall: 9/10

I heard the Master Chief exploded Chuck Norris and absorbed his Quickening.

The campaign was good, but too short. I believe that, somehow, they could've expanded the story a bit more. Multiplayer is, as usual, a lot of fun. To make a long story short, Halo 3 is one of my top five favorite games.
