Now, before you start spamming that we don't have an animator, I have thought that through, and I do believe this is possible, even with the current lack of resources this game has. Anywho, on to the idea.
Earlier today i was fighting an NPC when, an area effect radius expanded in my general area from a near by mob, just as i finished off the one i was fighting. That's when it struck me. The idea that what if when you finished off an NPC a shock wave went out if you, say, maybe brutaly beat his @#$ down during the fight?
So i got to thinking of what kind of significance this would play into the fighting system, and my first thought was, "what if slowed every one within the shock wave?" well, thats too powerful. it would cause people to start complaining about imbalance in PVP, and MA's are too strong, blah-blah-blah. So then i decicded that, what if this shockwave just caused the re-use timer on your free-attack, and interlock initiative to set off. It would only effect you with-in 3-5 meters, so gunman and hackers shouldn't have a problem with this, and would give you a slight advantage against being ganked in PVP by the 5 other MA's free-attacking you.
The animation would be simple, consisting of things we already have. The participants in the interlocked fight would have no animtion changes, the recievers of the shock wave would react as if they were just kicked in the head by a kung-fu free-attack (I think you all know the one i'm talking about), and the shock wave itself would just be an area effect radius with a white coloration.
I understand this wouldn't be slotted at the top of the priorities list, if considered at all, but i just thought i might share the idea with you all, and recieve some feedback on it.
