((Forewarning, it is a love story. There's not much action in it, and if you want action written by me, you can wait until Boumei. The total amount of time passed in this story is from (and this is just an example) August 05 to Feb. 07. However, we know how time is in the Matrix. Roukan was awakened around the time Morpheus started to bomb. Please, enjoy the reading and give me feedback.))

A little cherry haired girl played in the sand with her baby brother. Patches of hair started to grow from his head, green like the sky. He kicked and giggled like most babies do, throwing sand randomly, unknown to the harm it can do, and how easily it can get in his diaper. The girl giggled and made sand mounds. At the foot of the sandbox stood 2 adults, a woman and a man. Holding hands and laughing and talking, about their two kids in the sandbox. Green code swept from under them and into the sandbox, with a little boom, soon the brother and parents started choking, while the little girl screamed.

Anesta woke in a cold sweat, to her roommate Amber holding her and telling her to shush softly. The door was wideopen with what seemed like the entire girl's dorm in the doorway.

"It was just a dream Anesta. Calm down." said Amber softly, still rocking her best friend and room mate.

"It.. felt.. so real.." whispered Anesta, wiping tears from her aquamarine eyes.

"They always do.."

"Welcome! All you fine young men and women have finally made it into adulthood. Here, at the University.." the old man dragged on as a group of girls giggled to themselves, playing with their phones and throwing things at people they knew in the year before. Her soft short auburn hair sifted as she moved her head side to side to her friends, and back down to her phone and notebook, now half empty with paper she's thrown. Her dreamy blue eyes glistened behind her sharp black delaco shades.

"..and now I introduce to you, your class representative. Michael Ciglio!" The auditorium exploded with cheers and applause, with random patches of girls whistling at the man walking to the podium. Anesta looked up from her phone only to catch his smile. Her heart rang with music as she slowly stood to get a better gaze at him. He waved down the crowd, and they all sat, except Anesta. His golden hair shone in the light beaming down to him, and then he started to speak. Anesta heard no words, only just the sound of her heart as she stared upon him. Her friends finally coaxed her to sit down by pinching, prodding, and tickling.. but Anesta felt none of it. Soon, he bowed and left the stage, as Anesta snapped back into reality. She couldn't explain what had just happened, but evidentally, an hour had passed.

Later...

"He was so dreamy! Did you see Anesta? I think she fell in love." shouted Amber, teasingly. Her two friends giggled behind her back as Anesta was walking back to the dorm, still entranced.. and then came gunfire. The three girls ducked behind the closest dumpster and tried to look out where it came from. Muzzle flashes appeared from the right, as a knife landed beside Anesta's leg, barely missing her. Shouts from all around the campus came clear as the attackers closed in on each other, dropping their guns and knives to take it to fists. The two gangs fought furiously, stabbing and punching and kicking, whilst a man from the outside shot in, taking out a few. Soon, only leather clad warriors stood. Bloodied and bruised, they scurried off into the closest building to die, hopefully. Anesta shaked and shivered, her eyes, and those of her friends, battered with tears.

He laughed and clapped as she sang the high notes with perfect ease. It reminded him of the exact song.. maybe she was lip synching? She was applauded off the stage. Men and women alike stood up and clapped and cheered. Some even asked for her number and autograph. Anesta giggled and ignored such things. Just jest she thought. She wrapped her arms around her friends and walked out of the bar she wasn't supposed to be in, undetected. He too left shortly after, undetected, and found the girls across the street sitting at a café. It was in his luck he thought. He strode across the street, unaware to the cars that zipped by him. He was driven by his heart. He walked up to their table and held out his hand to Anesta. A violinist and a pianist played consecutively. She took his hand and stood, entranced by fire red his eyes. He held her softly and looked her straight into her eyes, and led the dance. Anesta didn't know how to dance, but with him, she did it with ease. They twirled and swayed as her soft dress and his long coat tangled together briefly, swishing as they moved. Amber and Jackie stared, mouths open, as Michael danced with Anesta so perfectly. The music stopped abruptly and Michael leaned his head next to hers and whispered softly in her ear.. "Call me." He left with his hand sliding out of hers, and left a paper in it's absence.

Later that night..

The ringing softly played in her ears as she anxiously tapped on the phone, and finally he picked up.

"Hello?" her heart fluttered when he spoke, but she gathered herself and stared directly into the phone.

"You! Why'd you do that?! That was embarassing! My friends were watching!" He recoiled at her angry voice and laughed softly before replying.

"Well, I wanted to ask you out, but that seemed too conventional." Her anger left her face and she stared at her friend.

"Um.. hold on Michael..." She clasped her hands around the phone reciever and spoke to her friend, but not soft enough.

"Well he was cute!" "Shut up Amber! That's not the point here!" "Well you do like him don't you?"

"I can hear you." Anesta squealed and slamed the phone on the table and recovered herself before speaking again. "When?" she asked, all Michael could do was smile. "7 sound good with you?" She fumbled the phone and quickly replied with a yes before slamming it down.

He thought it was over, but then he could hear her again, and he listened closely.

"Oh my god Amber! A date! With a cute boy!" "You should totally dress like a *CENSORED*." "I'm not dressing like you!" "Shut up Anesta!" "I hope he's always that dreamy..."

"I can hear you!" He shouted this time. Anesta and Amber screamed and unhooked the phone in a quick attempt to ward off what he had just heard. Michael closed his phone and laid down in his bed after a quick handshake with his roommate, and just smiled.

Next day..

His car wasn't shoddy. A black Toyota. Who knows the year, she was just happy to see him again. She opened the door and curtsied to him, smiling. He held her hand to the car and opened her door. Such a perfect guy she thought. His golden hair shone even in moonlight. Before she knew it, they were at the movies. Anesta calmly walked beside him, asking him simple things, but he only responded in one worded answers.

"I usually save the questions until dinner, so we can talk and not focus on how each other eats." he finally spoke, re-assuring Anesta. She smiled and nodded and took his hand as he paid for the tickets and the drinks. She didn't like horror movies, but when she was staring into his eyes, she didn't hear a word he said. She was soon clinging to his arm in terror and burying her face inside the chair as people died on-screen, things exploded, and various other movie common things.

"I can't take this anymore." she whispered. He nodded and held her infront of him, closing her eyes and ears as they hurried out of the theatre.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you didn't like scary movies." he said reassuringly, opening the door once again for her. Anesta shook her head softly and rested on the car seat, hoping what followed that night didn't involve death. They arrived at a downtown restaurant. It was fancy, too fancy she thought, and she was underdressed. She fussed with her black plain t-shirt and blue jeans, and he held her hands into the restaurant. The inside was marvelous. It was dimly lit with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. The waiter guided them to their booth seat, and Anesta sat uncomfortably next to Michael, as they were handed the menus.

"How.. can you afford all this? I don't want to make you spend so much." she rested her hands in her lap and looked to him worryingly. He closed his menu, and smiled brightly as he pointed to the name on the top. Ciglio.

"My father owns this restaurant. He asked me to help design it when I was a kid. I simply said crystals, and he put up those pretty chandeliers. In it, I see a broken reflection of a marvelous girl. She has short auburn hair, her blue eyes put the chandelier to shame, and she's sitting right next to me." He looked back to Anesta to find her sitting sideways. Her hands covered her cheeks and mouth, and she was quietly telling herself to calm down. She turned back around with a serious face, and tried to keep it straight. Michael burst out laughing and made her giggle too. Then they ate..

Later..

At her doorstep, girls from other rooms stared down silently in the dark as Anesta came to the doorstep, Michael closely behind her. They were both laughing and trying to hush each other, and they hugged at the doorstep. Anesta stared deeply into his eyes and backed away before she did something too soon. She bowed her head and he followed suit, and calmly walked away.

"..Michael?" He jolted around and found Anesta directly infront of him, and she kissed his cheek and ran inside the dorm. He grabbed his cheek and smiled bright, walking on air to his car.
