My briny limpets,

As was only natural, my brilliant plan of attacking the Machines simultaneously in the Matrix and on the slimy surface of your festering home succeeded marvelously. Unfortunately, as a necessary side effect, the General was saved from imminent capture and deletion by the Machines. Still, I suppose I should congratulate you, operatives, for more or less following directions, since that is such a rare thing among you; particular laurels of this type would be due to captains Gretyl and GDisciple, whose ships downed some Machine Sentinels, and deviljenny, an incomprehensibly pink individual who somehow managed to get the kill shot on the Agent that appeared in the government building lobby.

Cheers, etc.

Why did you teleport me out of the meeting area, Rarebit?  You know I wouldn't do anything to mess up the event or anything. SMILEY

Though on the plus side, I did get to synchronize with a South Vauxton hardline near where you moved me to.  Yay! ^-^

Ah, Ookami... Seeing you in action just gives me a... whimsical feeling inside.
I may no longer work for the Merovingian, but I'll come to your aid in a heartbeat.

Am I the only one who thinks Ookami, at times, looks alarmingly like Kate Beckinsale in "Underworld"...?

It was a great event. The attack/diversion in the real was a mind bender. Wouldn't mind another crack at it.

Complete and total domination, and yet another display of Merovingian superiority. Good job soldiers.

I bet the Merovingian picked Flood to lead this thing to protect the General on purpose because he hates the General so much SMILEY

History should have you know the Merovingian is not one who forgives transgressions.  Heed this warning carefully, Sleepwalker.

What were the Sentinel's stats?
#36300312900 08/28/2007 23:36:40 Re:[8.2.1] Our method of preserving the General's tentacles - Vector - 8/24/07
can't remember exactly but i know there hull was 1 point compared to our 3 points but they could perform 4 to 6 actions compared to our 1 to 3 actions depending on the roll.

Just my luck, I hand Gretyl the Captaincy of the Maladomini and aquire a new HoverCraft, next thing you know my old ship gets some battle time in!  I didn't know the old girl had it in her (The ship not you Gretryl SMILEY ).  Oh and nice work again, Gretyl  SMILEY

((ALL OOC POST!))

We rolled randomly from 1-3 and then added one for our energy rolls. I'm not certain on the Sentinels but they seemed to have more energy than us every time. The energy dictated how many actions you could take.

We had 3 hull points and they had 1 but they also outnumbered us a great deal.

This is where things got a tad difficult. GD crashed and BattleCordinator1 told me that if he didn't return in a minute that i would be solo. He crashed trying to get a view of the game board. After that he returned but was flying totally in the dark and I who just read the instruction manual 5 minutes previous had to direct him.

And now the battle maps of the rounds of combat as they were updated at the end of each phase.

There was a slight mix up on commands given so our ships messed up but we went with it.

The last round just happened so fast. My ship was in J5 and GD's was in J6. I totally underestimated the amount of attack actions the sentinels would get and sadly we paid the price. If i got to do it again id work on getting the EMP's off more often as they didn't seem to disable our own ships.

Overall though a huge kudos has to go out to whoever designed the rules and to the event planners as this was the best event i have ever been to.

Hopefully this helps shed some light. So lastly when are we gonna start up the RP around the ship combat rules. Anyone wanna give it ago?

Son of a... that's Vogt's work, I have no doubt. It's ours to use. Grr. SMILEY

Mind you, that was a very unimaginative board. Hah!

So for a Sentinel: Hull 1, Shield 1, Ballistic 1, Energy 2 and no EMP.  As far as I can tell anyway.
