I Just Did a Wallkick

It all happened so quick, but it happened. Going to try to reproduce it in that area again and keep my finger on the screenshot key.
I couldn't believe it when I saw it, but I just performed my first wallkick in what could easily be over a year. It happened in a mission area in the building directly to the west of the Camon Heights C hardline, using the Speed Kung-Fu tactic. My back was to a wall, and my character turned around, ran up the wall, backflipped, and landed with a sidekick to my opponent.

Seems to be a pattern emerging. All reports of it happening to someone since CR2 tends to involve Kung fu with the Speed tactic. Happened to me with those same conditions as well, just it was in Tabor Park.
Is this madness? This is Matrix!
I just really like that we are getting some of the old moves back and maybe soon we will see some new.
Yes, cool wall flippy moves for gun users too please! No animation for that in the game + no animatior atm = ain't gonna happen soon.

Didn't know if there was or not, I'm a post CR2 redpill... I just like the idea of us gunmen and women utilising a wall to get into a good position for a shot, but as you say if there are no animations for anything like that then I'll just have to wait, and hope....
The other day I was in interlock with a random guy during a mission and for the firs time I've ever seen, I did a move similar to this one where I ran up the wall behind me, flipped over him and then hit him.Interesting eh?
I was like, "What the hell was that?!" I was just doing my normal interlock attacks, but apparently I have never seen that particular one before.
I take it the wall kick that people have been reporting is a Kung Fu move?
Most reports seem to mention Speed Kung Fu and Tabor Mission Areas.I say we do a massive search, equip Kung Fu and mission away.

Over the shoulder tabula rasa style would be awesome... *drools*
So that's at least three reports of wallkicks and a teaser Image Retrieval...

Make that four.
Using speed tactic on an NPC, the NPC positioned with their back to the wall. Like Vanil, I didn't have the presence of mind to move my fingers a few inches to F12.
/duh

EDIT: Ok my faction mate has said hes done it twice!
Go forth my valiant Martial Artists! Make the walls propel us in victory against our adversaries! Enable us to F12 PLEASE!!!Or FRAPS works better

Myself and my mate are kicking missions as we speak.
Excellent. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen it.
QUESTION: Anyone managed to do it with Karate yet? Or just Kung fu so far? Karate's wall-kicks were the best, imho.
Actually.. we could come up with something cunning like taking a large group down to Barebones or opening Pandora Boxes in likely locations. Anything to get a steady flow of npcs and that...
Shame we cant get this to work more

Fraps, YouTube, Aikido Kick, now. ^.^
Well if Kung fu is speed, Karate power... does Aikido grab logically follow?
Sorry.. I just ran out of time and didn't read the entire thread.. and I have to go.. but
I just did a wall-kick in widow's moor today. I wasn't really paying much attention because I was buried in tells and xfire.. and interlocked is seriously bugged in there (gah please fix that.. read bug reports.. sent about 20 in so far.).. anyway..
Inside the church..next to (surprise) the wall.. nearly parallel with it. I went to interlock Garg with speed kung-fu.. instead of the normal I ran up the wall two or three steps (I think two), did a back flip off it and drop kicked him in the stomach.. similiar to sidekick combo. My Jaw dropped to the floor and I yelled out loud enough my next-door neighbor come over to see if I was alright.
They are out there..I wish I had the presence of mind to screenshot it.
If they are still in interlock animation sets then the best chance to reproduce the animation would be in a confined hallway where you and your opponent would be constantly up against the walls. Also you dont need to use npcs only. The animations sets for interlock do not discriminate player vs npc. So in theory you should be able to get it to happen with two players just fighting in close quarters.
Not sure if everyone saw this, it was posted in a similar thread that appears to have been buried somewhere (not in recent topics list anymore).
Yes, I was using Kung Fu w/speed in either Mara or Uriah neighborhood contact mission.
*cough* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAq9MmRluIMOMG! OMG! its REAL!!!

LOL!! I love these reactions!
YES!!! Paige, you rock! I think I speak for everyone when I say:
THANK YOU! <3
Me and Sotirios spent about an hour trying to get it to work in a confined hallway...so I guess we shall try again. We thought it was just working against NPC's.If they are still in interlock animation sets then the best chance to reproduce the animation would be in a confined hallway where you and your opponent would be constantly up against the walls. anyways what happened to the other wall kick move? the one where the guy just goes on the wall and kicks the opponent, that is excluding the run on the roof as seen in the video

That is one sweet video...and I love that other type of wall kick.
Hey, that Shadow Razor arm-takedown type move I've see in some of the posted graphics...I think I may have had that one done to me while playing Rellim today a few times. I didn't have fraps available though (was mobile gaming...don't have it installed on my laptop)..but I'm quite sure I was taken down a few times today with that move.
OK couple of questions
1. Is it an entering IL move (like most reports say) or a during IL move (like Rellim's video)?
2. Is it your back that needs to be to the wall (like Rellim's vid) or the enemys back (like exsuscito's report)?
Karate Wall kick #1 (The Dive Kick) was done with your back squarely to the wall.
Karate Wall Kick #2 (The Step off kick, aka the Shadow Wall kick) was actually done near a wall, but at a slight angle to it.. or at least that's how I usually ended up seeing it. When I had my back square to the wall, I almost always got Kick #1 instead. Or perhaps it was an issue of distance. Closer to the wall gets you kick #1, a little further away gets you kick #2. *shrug*
Speed Kung Fu (flip and kick)
Power Karate (kick off)
Grab Aikido (wall run)
I can personally confirm that there are definitely 2 wall kicks for Karate. Back in CR1 when I was doing them, I only had Karate so it couldn't be anything else. lol The good old days
You confirmed that for CR1.. but what about 2?
