Crew could not be created

I keep getting the following error when I try to create a Zion crew with a friend

Crew could not be created (error = TRGS_OPENCHATCHANNELFAILED)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

It's possible that your character is already registered in another crew and since you left, you're now bugged. What you need to do is send in a /ccr in game explaining your problem, and check for a response. The wait time should be an hour or so. Provide all of the information that they ask you for and they'll probably reset your character, and make sure he isn't registered in any other crew. Tell the people who tried to form the crew with to do the same thing.

My friend made another crew but I'm still broke but I will give the /ccr a try thanks

Both myself and a friend are getting this error now.... I might have bugged her lol

I sent the /ccr and they said they had never saw this before?

So no crew is listed anywhere?

Not sure what to suggest other then try submitting another CCR and seeing if another GM has a better idea.

I had a similar problem (though with a slightly different error) trying to create a crew once. I /ccr'd, and was told there was no direct fix for it. They said they had seen it before, and would forward it to the development team.

That was pretty much it. I waited for the weekly server reset and tried again, and it worked.

The problem here appears to be that the TRGS service is failing to create the crew channel when the crew is created. which is an indication that the crew creation on the data base is probably working but for some reason the chat channel reserved for specific crews is failing.

I have now created a crew but using a different name than before.  The data base / development team said it was possibly due to there being another crew by that name already in existence.
