Turned off the sound....but i can still hear things....

Hi,

I've turned the 'Master Sound' all the way down, but some sounds and seeping through the crack, it seems.
Sounds like gun fire and cars still, but not always, play.

Any ideas?

Do you have Smart Volume Management turned on in windows? If so turn it off, it will amplify even the slightest sound.

If you don't, please post your system info.
