So it looks like the Megacity Department of Energy have put their foot down and are not going to help the machines in this war.

Nice screenshots. I hope everyone will realize that it was the Zionists who attacked us first. We simply fought back. While The Megacity Department of Energy just stood still, watching. Betraying the Machine organization.

Well, they're not betraying anything, but they're taking a more peaceful standpoint.

Unfortunately, little do they realize that, without us there with our guns blazing and fists flying, they would be the ones being shot at. Would they allow it to happen without fighting back? Probably not. And if they do, then there was no point for them to be there.

These are definitely the kind of pictures that would get people interested in this game. I especially like the one in Capone's post, the second last one. Brilliant.

Agent Gray: Operative, it is not unexpected that you may have certain feelings or sentiments relating to Zion, and the humans therein. I want to make it clear that we do not engage in the unnecessary termination of life; neither do we take hostilities against Zion lightly. However, Zion's action in constructing a new fortified base reveals a clear intention to resume their past activities of attempting to damage the System, and in this circumstance, the lives of the vast majority of mankind reliant on the continued operation of the Matrix, not to mention the existence of the many programs whose existence depends upon the simulation, must take priority

You cannot fault the DoE for their choice.  Until us Machinists get more than a half-*** explanation about the situation you cannot expect them to slay their own race.

(it's hard to grasp this situation when the crits don't work)

It is the policy of the DoE to not blindly follow orders, especially orders to kill the very people we are here to protect. We can think and chose for ourselves. We are not pawns or sheep.

We are the Mega City Department of Energy: Supporting the Truce even after you bailed

The area that the Zion fighters were over was of specific significance, according to our liaison a bomb planted there could seriously disrupt the matrix as a whole. (which is what we believed they were doing) We should follow orders and ask questions after the events have happened, trust the Machines judgement if you are working for them, what do you think they are... human?
