Location: HvCFT Chaos

Yasamuu lay back on his bunk. His head was buzzing, like he had a bee-hive in there. Constant ringing. Buzzing. Conflicting emotions. Thoughts. Consideration. Time to turn? Time to sleep? Time to leave? Time to fade into the dark? Do we all go through this? Do we all begin to question our existence? Our allignment? Just those that work day in and day out tirelessly it seems...but for what? For the organisation, yeah sure, we get new recruits we work like trojans to promote our organisation. Yet does it get us anywhere? These new recruits, who do they learn from of the Veterans are excluded, removed, ignored? You do so much, gain the respect of your peers and officers and then there reaches a point where your superiors seem to just grow tired of you. He wondered if his superiors realised he's not an expendable asset...

And if they don't realize he's not expendable, there's always a friend waiting for him.

I wonder if he remembers the debate we had about his superiors and his significance to them being questioned.

I hope he does, and I hope he finds the answers soon...

There is only one answer, only one true path.

Soon.

And so you face the ultimate problem; What do you do when you think your own guys are against you... A tough one, to be sure.

Being 'mad' myself, nobody trusts me, not my own faction or organisation. So I can share your grievance. It hurts to be ignored, chided and scoffed, when all you do is your best.

But then again, I'm mad... It could all be the paranoid ramblings of a superficial leader. Or could it be more?

Keep in touch, Yasamuu. You're scratching at the surface.

Translation - Machine operatives should not have thoughts of any kind, we dont give any form of appreciation and we really dont care what you do.

Of course you could go the route of the Cyph ie get manipulated by the mechs and get dropped at a moments notice when it suits, while pursuing an aim you know to be physically unobtainable, or you could join Zion and ineffectually mark time till one of your great saviours arrives to pull you out of your stupor, or you could join the most ludicrous and childish band of wannabes in the cosmos baying noisily at the moon and generally spewing themselves over as wide an area as possible in search of a clue (the most charitable EPN summary I could come up with.... you should have seen the original draft!)... or you could embrace the potential and oppertunity at our fingertips and join the only org that tells it to you straight, you want answers - trust only to yourself!

Yasamuu sat on his Operators chair, staring at the code...checking if any of our Officers where in the Matrix. Systematica, I've spoken to her a lot over the past year or so. Possibly more than any other operative. I suppose the answer to why I'm still in this org is Systematica She does her job so efficiently. It's one of the reasons I remain. With an Officer as dedicated as her, where can you go wrong? She's killed Terrorist Officers, she does her best to include everyone making sure not to exclude others, she goes so far to discuss things. Discuss things like ideas or problems, she tackles them head on. She's there to give a word of support to give you that lift. That to me is a perfect Liaison Officer. Of course she's not without her faults, but my god, the positives outweigh the negatives. Why the hell she hasn't had a promotion further now I'll never know, but I'm sure as hell pleased she hasn't from a selfish point of view. While our other Officers are of a high standard, they aren't anywhere near as readily available as she is. She is truly a joy to have as a Liaison.

My molto efficiente friend,

I sense your pain and as my deadly beautiful associate, Mistress Tytanya, alluded to, I congratulate you for questioning your place in this world. Pain and self-awareness are feelings that let us know we are still alive, yes?

I can tell you from first-hand experience, having been cast aside myself, that you are not appreciated by your superiors. In fact, they will replace you the instant your obsolesence becomes apparent, no matter what placations our dear Systematica offers. The kind of loyalty you represent would be worth a hundred lesser men in our organization. . .

Join us, Master Yasamuu. Our Benefactor provides for us a luxurious life here in the Matrix. You already perceive the true value of this world. Now, come to understand it's true nature. Unfettered and untethered urges, unfathomable riches, an unbridled passion for life, and. . .

Power. Beyond your wildest imaginings. That will be your reward in the kingdom of the Merovingian. You will be your own man, and you will be loved for it.

Let us show you the nature of causality in the Matrix.

Finché incontriamo,

#36300279327 07/11/2007 18:11:03 Re:Why?

I must say I was impressed, especially with the effort he put in, Yasamuu thought. Sure if I had any kind of ego, that'd go straight to my head. However, I've walked that path before, I may have been inexperienced back then heck, I was younger and naive but I could never go back. His face redenned slightly at the nostalgia.

Put simply? I'm afraid The Merovingians side just doesn't cut the mustard for me, riches specifically and power mean little to me and of course, I don't think there is anyone more likely in the Matrix to get bored of his operatives and dispose of them than The Merv himself.

Of course, Les Enfants Terribles is such an attractive faction. I've came accross them many a time, in the battlefield and my god at parties, I don't think there's many people that can light up a party like Tseng, Xeros, Montoia and Riac to name but a few...though they are equally as entertaining as enemies. Who knows...maybe one day, though I'm flattered by that offer, I'll have to humbly decline. I've certainly enjoyed my conversations with the Baron and his colleague Titchborne, another perspective is always refreshing. Though, I've not spoken to Tasvyder yet, I suppose I'll have to look forward to that if she's as entertaining as the other Officers.

Finché incontriamo,

I'm not sure Yas could stand the horrid tacticians you guys use on the battlefield. . although it's hilarious to watch. I say watch, because fighting isn't really needed when your enemy kind of kicks its own *CENSORED*.

He doesn't need to be rewarded, he's just going through a phase. It'll remedy itself. *CENSORED* off back to your cake and ice cream.

#36300300904 08/10/2007 11:17:51 Re:Why?

I can't really blame you at all.  Bad enough the Machines have been overwriting redpills and propagating the myth of bluepill reinsertion.  But over the past few days we've learned that killing bluepills is just fine...the end justifies the means; and that humans are being kept in pods for some other reason besides energy.

I know the traditional association of The Merovingian and Merovingians in general is with power and riches and selfishness.  But I have a different perspective.

As far as The Merovingian himself, granted he is hardly a saint, but neither is he really the black-hatted evil cartoonlike villain everyone makes him out to be.  In all of my interactions with him he has been a total gentleman.  Cordial and polite and apprecitive of mine and others' service.  Never once has he rasied his voice to me in anger.  In addition you may have noticed a different aspect of his personality as of late.  Where as before he may have been motivated by power, greed, etc.; lately he seems to be motivated by genuine intellectual curiosity about our world.  He now understands there is more to life than partying in a digital wonderland.

As far as I am concerned, being a Merovingian means truly being free.  We are free from Zionite propaganda and Machine control.  It is truly a "big tent" organization....we have outlaws, rogues and killers but we also have those who are simply hungry for knowledge, like myself and many of my factionmates here in LET.  And as for myself, I value all sentient life.  That means humans, machines and exiled programs alike.  What would happen to them if Zion or the Machines shut down or crashed the Matrix?  And you've gotta respect the exiles.  They questioned themselves and their role and came to a realization of freedom.  Much like us redpills.

We also have the most interesting cast of characters....Persephone, Malphas, Ookami, Effy, Beirn, the Twins!  And we have Succubi and Cake and Club Hel!  Even our org construct is light years ahead of the others...My God the Machine one looks like Hitler's bunker!  Really just for vareity's sake alone we beat everybody else.

Lastly we are the most stable of all the orgs.  No infighting for the past two years, no splinter orgs.  Most especially, no deceit.  At least The Merovingian has the common decency to be up front and honest about what his goals are.

Well I don't intend to try to convert you but no matter what happens I hope you figure out what's best for you.
