#36300273580 07/02/2007 21:45 Dial M for Merv.
What was he doing, with this bomb, and inside a machine outpost in the Matrix?  Oh, that's right, the machine betrayed him.

"How are you doing on that bomb Meta?"  Set asked over the com.
"Give me a *CENSORED* minute Set!" he replied.
"Sorry..."

It's been awhile since MetaLogic was inside the simulation.  He remembers what it was like when he was awake the first time around, he was Zion, then Machine and then Cyph.  He enjoyed being Cyph the best, because he could protect the bluepills & the system without the restraint of the Truce.  However, he grew tired of the life, and wanted to go back to sleep.  So he approached the machines and they told him that they could put him back to sleep.

Wait, if he was susspose to be asleep, then why is he here?  Why is he working for the Frenchman?  The machines lied, they lied to the entire Cypherite organization about reinsertion.  Then why is he here, why is he still awake and back in the simulation?  MetaLogic can't remember what happened between the time he approached the machines to be reinserted to when Setunde & Claudius found him in Stamos, hurt, but alive.  He has recovered from his daze, and slowly he was beginning to piece things together.

Everyone lies, that's one of the thing he was able to piece together.  All of this poppycock about protecting the system, protecting the bluepill, all of this bravado was all a lie.

"The bomb is set.  I'll let you know when I'm out." Meta said over his bluetooth.

Meta walks out of the room and down the hall to the elevator.  He push the button for the top floor and watches the door close.  The EPNs, Cyph, Machine, Zion, they all lie, they all lie because they all try to achieve their own agenda, their own goals.  They don't care who they have to step over, or step on to get to it.  So what if you've been lying to an organization that did your dirty work for two years, it doesn't matter.  Wrong, it matters to Meta, and he has an inkling it matters to the other Cyphs as well.

Meta walks up the stairs to the roof of the building looking behind him to make sure no one was following him.  At least The Merovingian was honest about their intent, Mervs. are about power, power within the Matrix, and now, possibility power in the real.  The Mervs. knew how the Matrix really worked, and now it was time for Meta to learn.

Meta hyper jumps to the next building and turned around.

"Do it."

All the sudden, a corner office explodes in a ball of fire, glass, metal and wood flies out and rain down the street below.  Meta gave a message to the machines from The Merovingian, and from him.  That Meta will not accept lying, for every action, there is a consequence.
