Has anyone found a build that still works against the lvl 35 Ashencourte Gargoyle? CR2.suck has ruined most builds for fighting higher levels. It's doable to use Gunslinger against Tengu still, but Gargoyle consistently outrolls both Guns and MA and has such high regen that the damage from a rarely landed state special is regenned before there's a chance for another. His Aikido Grab attacks block everything. Special attacks do practically no damage, outside of state ones, and they miss almost all the time anyways. He blocks sneak attacks 80% of the time, and in Interlock his Blood Drink does 500 damage, which is about 1/3 a level 30's health... from what I've seen, it's pretty impossible to solo him now as a level 30. Yuki is easily doable but this isn't even close.
Ashencourte

Should solo'ing him even be feasible?
I mean, he's Tengu. He's the boss of the place.

Er, you mean Gargoyle.
And yes, soloing construct bosses has been possible for every construct in CR2 up until the latest patch. Yuki could be done with guns or MA, and Ashencourte through Sakura could be done with guns, MA, or MKT. In Widows Moor when I leveled on Recursion, I could solo the Gargoyle with a macro. Now, for Ashencourte at least, Gargoyle's Aikido is godly and stands out from past trends in PvE. With this game's declining population, in constructs that only fractions of leveling characters use, it doesn't make sense that you should not be able to solo the boss when it has always been possible from the beginning of Live in CR1 until this recent combat downgrade.

Cant you use that trick like in sakura where you fight him, roll out, then jump up to the roof? Then jump back down for round 2 when you healed.
I used Utility Coder.
Weird. It works better than everything else, when all the IL builds don't. Fights take 20 minutes, but I might have a chance of killing him. Thanks Fatmop.
I havent been to Ashencourte since the last patch but before that I tried to find a way with MA at max level and one level higher and couldnt reliably beat him without using health pills. Every once in a while I could pull it off but nowhere near as easy as the other bosses and the Widows Moor Gargoyle is really easy to beat even with all the roll outs. Something doesnt seem to be scaling right in those 2 archives.
I think he activates Iron Body rather regularly and that can really hamper your attempts to hurt him (Cause special attacks do negligible damage).
When I took him I'd stay defensive (Iron Guard + Grab and MGF to try remove Iron Body from him) until I noticed his resistance from Iron Body had worn off or been removed. Then I'd sky high him and hit him with 2 Stakes (Cause Silver bullets don't work) on power tactics, this would take roughly half his health. With some luck I could roll him in about 10 rounds, with bad luck it just took longer.

I used a lot of normal wooden stakes and kung fu. Also a lot of health pills. That worked very well, didn't take too long to kill him.

Well for non-twink characters who want to solo, that may be a bit difficult.
What I've found after a few days is that while I thought he was a gunner (as the WM garg is), he appears to have MA stats - melee dmg and defense, and ballistic accuracy. He can hit you with the SMG in free fire, but it does practically no damage. If you can trick his AI into not interlocking you, you can literally start free fire, do enough damage to make him guaranteed focus on you, tell the sim to start nuking, go afk, come back, and he's dead. Not so bad after all.

Then how you "trick" him into not ILing you, while staying in his range?

At lvl 30 with my Kung-Fu sim and me just free firing takes him down quite efficiently...seriouly i tried all the proxys and my nuker and Fu takes him down the best..i just free-fire for staggered and my sim does the rest

I never managed to solo this fellow, but I've found if you carry a boatload of stakes with you and keep nailing him with them, that seems to cut into his health quite a bit.
What would you recommend for two 30's? Two gunners or a gunner and a proxy? Or something else?

If there is two of you it shouldn't really make much difference, aslong as one can do reasonable damage out of IL, you should flatten him easily, both of you running proxies will destroy him quick.
