Niobe on the other hand looks weird without her trademark redy orangey theme, as well as the loss of her glasses.
Its interesting cos this pic seems like a real shift of focus from Niobe being the big gun how badass and ghost being the more withdrawn and emotional to the opposite.
But yes, i'd liek to reinterate a point from previous threads, my hope and understanding is these chapter 8 looks are mostly alternatives as opposed to permanent changes so as long as they're all used contextually i see no problem.
Except for ghost's new facial hair, that should probably pertain to both outfits so he isnt speed shaving and growing it all the time, lol.

I think I did like Niobe's old look a bit more than the new one, though. It's odd to see her without a trench.

Both faces look more like theirs in the movies...making me wonder if somehow they found a file containing rights to them haha.
I dunno, people are complaining about Niobe, but I think more changes were done than just the shades. Looks different in other ways.

I like the addition of the Goatee and stash to Ghost. It brings back a bit of his look without making him seem so different that its no longer Ghost. Some might say that all he needs now is hair, but I think we're all accustomed to the way Ghost has looked within the Matrix Online and that big of a change would just ruin the look of the character. And honestly, chances are that they gave it a try when redoing the models and it looked odd.
Now as for Niobe, I think the most significant thing is the lack of shades. The fact that you can see her eyes softens her character a little. Niobe has always seemed a little cold and vengeful, and maybe we'll finally see another side of her.
Who knows, maybe chapter 8 includes the new "Therapist"tree we've all been waiting for.

I like it alot. Much needed change for ghost. He has some of his old qualities back. And I think Niobe looks good. 8.1 is going to be cool. I mean all the new shiny textures and the black and white outfits. White means death in some cultures. I'm still betting on a funeral. The most probable would be the Oracle.

If he did, I would cry. Considering I've been asking for one for more than a year now. Or a white half jayne. And if that's like Ghost's old coat except white, my chances of the latter are now non-existant considering we never get clothes like the story characters.
Ghost is looking pretty good, Niobe man whats up with her eyes the seem so weird.

I think Niobe looks great, her face is really expressive without the shades. That's just a run-of-the-mill black Blackbee tankini, right? I'm pretty sure I looted one of those off of an otherwise burly-looking male adversary . . . I didn't ask. I never do. :X
I'm all about achieving the classic Matrix look, so I'm happy to see some rethinking of the main characters, especially when there's so much customization available for all of us average players. I think it'd be sweet to have a contest or something where the community could contribute designs for other minor characters (or perhaps the liaisons?), so that we can get in on all the make-over fun too . . .

Looking sharp Ghost. I always thought the white suit should've got more air time in Reloaded . The facial hair isn't too bad either, makes him look a little sinister. I like the change in Niobe too. Removing anyone's shades always makes them appear more human. It gives folks a chance to remember that there's another side to Niobe like how she was in during Morphs speech in the temple. I cant wait to see if the outfit revamps reflect how much each org will change in the upcoming chapter. Like they say "Somethings never change and somethings do".
Ghost Looks great, I think he looks cooler in that outfit than in his old one and Niobe certainly got a cool and interesting new outfit and changes, you definately see an expression in her eyes, overall very cool
