Is it just me or have i seen alot more of the afore named threads on MXO boards Anyone think our recent marketing attempts and enthusiasm for the game has paid off? XD Doesnt this spur you on more? don't you think more poeple should join the club and promote MXO in any and all ways they can?

But to the topic at hand...I think yeah it kinda has maybe. But I'm not going to be expecting a large influx of people.

If there really were marketing attempts, which I personally didn't know of, it's probable.
Yes, continue promoting MxO, just don't be disingenuous/dishonest at reviews or forums is all I ask from you.
Making the game look better than it is when people expect honest information and opinions is wrong. I hope I'm being redundant by saying this.

I think you are. But it's an understandable concern.
In my time, I've seen us (collectively, I suppose) generally fighting for a fairer representation of the game, rather than putting up with the stereotypical, rumour-informed 'This game sucks' reveiws by embiterred fans.

As long as it's fair in your mind, there is no problem imo.
It's just this, just as I don't like "embittered haters" who spew negative crap, I don't really revere players who dishonestly "promote the game" with euphemizations and stuff.
I just thought in an older fan marketing initiative thread I had read something from you that implied euphemization because it would be better in the end, but I might have misread you.

Everything with justification is worth its credence. But some justifications can be recinded in the light of of an overpowering counter-argument. That's the point people, the right people, are trying to make, I think.

I don't think there'll be anymore...but it has been quite a few months from i seen these threads poping up places. It's just nice to know they're still coming in and that we'll get a few total noobs not ppls alts ><

I wouldn't say i've personally noticed any particular rise here on the forums but mah factions recently seen a good burst of returnees so who knows...
