The Wasteland Corruptor always drops one Corrupted Code, and sometimes two.

Im talking about just the basic corrupts.  The lvl 53's (if your a lvl 50)  I personally think if you had the chance of picking up 3 or 4 corrupt codes, alot more people would participate in this event; and it would make it alot more fun to do in groups. 

Like i said, its just my .02, not worth much, but hey, its mine.

Just hope you think about possible adding in one more hotfix for this.  I personally think the idea of a wastelander dropping enough to go around (and making it divisable within the team from the loot... Like being able to single and/or right click an icon) would be a wonderful idea.  maybe im missing something, but eh...

The Corrupteds (the little guys) have a 50% chance of dropping a "Decaying Code."

Personally, I would say a 125% chance of dropping, and the extra 25% would maybe drop an extra one.

That would be awsome.

Wait does that mean that on average we have to double the amount we need to kill? Doesnt that bring the number up to 4000 odd? ¬.¬

We have to kill so many of the blighters it seems only fair to have em a 100%. Plus maybe a little more for a 2 drop...

Exactly what I am saying.  Plus you have to deal with kill stealers who like to wait and once you IL one of your guys, just sit back and sniper for a good 800-1000 damage and steal your kill.  so in actuallity you might have to fight about... 5000?  give and take of course, depending on ones skill level and how fast they open a con on one of those dudes.

i vote for 125% drop rate on the decaying code.

Rarebit, any chance that the "broken hotbar" will be fixed soon? It happens everytime a player Hyper-jumps away and you are in combat with his corrupted?

a few days back I teamed up with a bunch of people and, god help me, I hung around killing those things for about 2 and a half hours just to see what i'd get.

know what i got?

a handful of useless corrupted code fragments with messages relating to the assassin on them, while EVERYONE ELSE kept getting the frags needed to trade in with the fumigator.

awesome waste of time, hurray!

if the stupid spawn rate, drop rate and necessity for having to wait round doing nothing before you get started hadn't already put me off, thats pretty much nails in coffin time, right there.

Without help, you would need 2,300 Corrupted Frags to get the Patcher's Headergear.

Actually, I think that you need an AWEFUL lot of items to get the patcher headgear is a good idea.
MxO's always been (since cr2 and it's updates) an easy-'rare'-item game. You wanted a special drop? Buy it, there are enough around. You wanna get one as a lowlvl? The droprate is high enough! Collectors items? Just some easy tokens.

I agree. All of the "rare" loot in MxO is not really rare. The Area K Trench everyone had one within a couple of weeks. I like the idea of loot that not everyone on the server will have within a few weeks.

However I don't really like the way to get the Patcher's Headgear. Just sit and wait for spawns all day. If it was implemented in some type of a quest format (ala Pandora's Box) then it would make it more interesting and then drop rates could be guaranteed since the player would delve into a quest rather then just dancing around waiting for spawns and possible kill stealing.

I noticed Sim still don't receive area heals while i have not been able to play. And I still disagree with non team patcher area heals (restore group 1 and physician heal) only affect team mates.  BAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I agree with the statements about having an event where everyone won't get the top reward in the first few days of the event. The corrupted event is not content heavy. It doesn't seem to relate that much to the story line, but, every event doesn't have to.

What I don't like has already been mentioned: others stealing your loot, which seems to be fixed because not the "killer" and teammates only can loot for a certain period of time.

The drop rate on corrupted frags, every corrupted does not drop a frag. I wish they did, but again, people would get the rewards quickly and complain there is nothing new to do.

It appears that killing the big fly guy was designed to be a team undertaking. Very difficult for one person to do I hear. Saying that it means that the teams would have to stick together and repeat gathering the insecticide until every team member has the rewards. Take a long time? Yes it would.

We managed with the Area K coat to form teams and work together very well to accomplish getting 10 heads each. A lot less work and time than getting the insecticide to kill the big fly guy will take.

I'm rambling, sorry about that. My point... positives and negatives to this "event," if that is what it's called. Each person's choice what they want to do about killing corrupted and how far they want to go in working to earn that big reward. You pays your money and you takes your chances, eh?

I agree with everyone but i think they should lower the lvl of the big guy. I think 100 lvl is too much. By the way....Is this thing permanent? Cause i am asking around and no one knows.

Finding a team is nearly *CENSORED* impossible if most of your friends or faction members are either asleep (my faction is mostly full of Italian players, while Stack, Haraden, Randac, and I are the only U.S.-side players) or are busy elsewhere (i.e. PVPing, RPing, or whatever the hell they're doing.)

And yes i don't think i have it in me to get this item. I'm not that patient.
