Everyone,

We tried our best, but we were unable to rescue the crew of the hovercraft Rescate before the Cypherites secured them. We can only hope that we find a way to return DeCesare, Xcelerate, Relikat, and Craner to freedom. Please send word immediately if you hear anything. We can't give up on them.

EPN puts itself outside the truce, and then they get upset when those protecting the Matrix fight back against them?  That's like being surprised when you throw rocks at soldiers and the soldiers shoot you.  Perhaps EPN simply doesn't understand that the Matrix is the life support system for billions of their fellow human beings, and that threatening something so important will be dealt with harshly.  Or maybe they just don't care.

EPN seems so eager to go back to those pre-truce days...maybe now they'll realize that without the truce, there is no protection against real-world death.

So your in full support of an orgainzation that routinely breaks the truce on the other side of the fence by attacking Zion. No I do not mean EPN, I mean Zion, those in Zion who follow the truce. I know this time they got us and we will get them back but they have attacked people who are fully within the truce. Without EPN, you would proberly already have served your worth to machines and be back in your god *CENSORED* pods.

Blatant ignorance aside, Retrox was correct on one point - the Cypherites and EPN are equally outside of the truce.  I say let them wipe each other out, it'll save us the trouble in the long run.

All is fair in love in war.

You either stand back up and keep on fighting or stay down and get run over.

Now that's interesting. I think everything was going just swimmingly (apart from the existence of the Masked) before EPN came along. What makes you think you've done anything to save us? All you've done for Machinists, at the very least, is give us something to laugh at.

I'm in agreement with Starschwar. I'm not one for torture, but I'm glad the Cypherites caught some EPNs. I only hope that soon some EPNs will catch Cypherites. Slowly but surely you can eradicate each other.

Zion and EPN fighting Machine, Merovingian and Cypherites... However, the Merovingians were either eliminated or left the area. An entire Zion (not EPN) faction had set up a trap for Machine operatives after the entire situation was over and Cypherites were gone. One is one.

I can't say I'm too pleased with the current agreements between our organization and the cypherites, especially not when they have machinists attacking Zionites and supporting Veil's efforts.  A cypherite can not be trusted.

Irony duly noted, however I really do agree with you here, and I felt that warranted noting as well.

In any event, I find it laughable how "terrorist" is so flippantly tossed at EPN as a moniker, when again and again we see Cypherites kidnapping, taking hostages, and blatantly executing those in their way. As they say, water seeks its own level; nicely done in bartering with them, Agent Pace.

If not terrorist, what?  You all play the amazing moving goal post game whenever someone asks about your goals.  Getting back Neo?  Well how can you do that without violence?  Waking up every bluepill?  How can you do that with the machines refusing to allow it?  And if you only want to awaken the 1%, why the hell don't you just go back to Zion?  There are plenty of Zion factions that don't take every order Locke hands down as the word of God.

Ah, now that sounds like my hot-and-bothered Cypherite adversary of old. Avoid the spotlight by shifting it offstage. I'd field that little stick-poking volley were it not for the fact that we are discussing, factually, the kidnapping of one of our crews by Veil, the Cypherite, who is in treaty with the Machines.

Machinists hate EPN

Cypherites hate EPN

Machinists hate Cypherites but cant do anything about htat for obvious reasons

Zion and Machine are in truce yet were with EPN in effort of protecting them from machines

Machines attack EPN and are met with a Zion trap.

I fail to see where the machines did anything wrong. Just because the Machinists and the Cypherites have a common enemy does not mean we support them. If the 'flag' system allowed us to attack them, you can besure we'd wipe them out.

Besides, what are all us machinists players on recursion supposed to do when the only event we get in 3 months is a QA session with the new and improved Agent Pace that goes no where.

#36300243419 05/23/2007 09:02:41 Re:[7.2.5] "She makes a nice punching bag, dearie" - Recursion - 5/18/07

Machines don't hate Cyphs.  You're paying them to keep spying on Zion for you.  You seem quite chummy to me.

I'm not complaining that Machines wanted to fight us, I expected it.  But that doesn't change the fact it meant a crew of our people are at the mercy of one of the most violent sadistic people this city has and we're going to do whatever it takes to get them back.  If they're already dead, an appropriate reaction will be made.

Then refuse your machine masters, tell them you cannot suport them while they are in suport of group who are far dangerous than hacking the code of the matrix casuing no damage to blue pills or the system. Yes EPN acept the consequences of our actions but as stated above why the hell should any one of our crews be treated to sadistic touture with whom the "keepers of the truce"  and have a "freindly" agreement  with,

Cypherites Kidnapped EPN?, Please, Don't make me LMAO .. it so Happen that a Specific EPN crew had gotten too close to a Cypherite Base and We ofcourse Apprehended them For Questioning.  We did not set to go out and Kidnap a Crew. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time and Thier Mistake worked to our Advantage.

We're still with the Machines for very good reasons. Until the Machines actually tell the Cypherites to use violence as a means to their ends, we can say the Machines are just being naive. Obviously, that's getting a little old now, as the Machines have made a few mistakes in a very short period of time. But I and others have hope.

And where else would we go?

Cypherites - the reason we'd leave the Machines, so... no.
EPN - idiot terrorists.
Merovingian - evil.
Zion - poorly equipped.

Working for the Machines is, as I've stated many, many times, our best hope of uniting our two races. Yes, they're making mistakes, but so is Zion. (Zion's mistakes don't seem quite so... grand because they don't have the resources to do crazy things like overwrite minds. If they had access to the Machines' technology, they'd mess up just as often. Uh, if not more.) And while we're with the Machines, we have the opportunity to guide them in the right direction. Things are getting better. Slowly, the Machines ar realising that the Cypherites were a bad idea.

Well, seems everyone else has covered the bases I was going to. So, I'll summarize.

Machines =\= Machinists

Machinists hate the Cypherites

Machinists seek to change the Machines' view of the Cypherites

Leaving the Machines is not the way to change things - change comes from within.

EPN are terrorsits.

Cypherites are also terrorists.

This was an act of terrorists vs terrorists. Good times.

I think what he means is that sence you have so openly stated you will nto work with Cypherites that the next time your asked to do so you rather then just go along with the order and then add your opinon to the your reports you actully state your opinion to Gray and not do as asked untill they change.

Change happens from within yeah but it doesn't if nothing from within is being done to make it happen.

That's not what he implied. I take it from his statement that he expects me to not work for Gray and the Machines at all, despite teh arguments we Machinists have made to explain our position.

If Gray or the Machines ordered me to work with the Cypherites then no, I wouldn't follow that order and I'd state my opinion. Though they already know it.

And I can't believe that you're making me say this again: we do not want to wake everyone up. We want the Machines to stop lying to the Sleepers and give them the Truth, so they can consciously make the Choice.

Fundamentally different. Subtly different. But different, nonetheless.

It is a matter of historical record that Neo was twice asked what he wanted, at moments when it was of key importance. The first time, he responded "The end of the war." This came from the Oracle herself. The second time, according to the transcript provided to the Council by the Machines during the Truce negotiations, his answer was simply, yet profoundly, "Peace".

Look around you, Illyria. Does the Matrix of today resemble the end of the war? Does what goes on in there daily; Machines killing humans, overwriting humans, using humans, does that seem like peace to you? The kind of Peace that Neo was talking about?

I believe that what Neo wanted was perverted, first by the Machines and then by the Council. And I believe that every day since then has been a perpetuation of that perversion.

That is what E Pluribus Neo stands to correct. That is what we fight and die for every day. An end to the perversion of Neo's legacy.

Could you please direct  me to something that says our goals are "Getting back Neo and wakeing up every blepill". I seem to be unable to find such a document produced by anyone with any authority on the matter.
Request that you immediately explain the fundamental difference between Zion and EPN.  Priority one.
