Normally, in Free Attack mode you continually cycle through the same attack, but you can augment that with special attacks and buffs, and once they are complete, you should return to the basic Free Attack style you started with. This is not always the case, however, as specials and buffs can knock you out of the Free Attack cycle, and you will have to re-select Free Attack mode to begin attacking again.

In particular, if the special or buff is still active while the Free Attack cycle is refreshing (that is, it is at the top of the cycle), then Free Attack mode will be disrupted and you will have to re-select Free Attack to begin attacking once again. If, on the other hand, the special or buff finishes before the Free Attack cycle reaches the refresh point, then you will continue to cycle through the Free Attack you selected. I have gotten this effect for both ranged attacks with pistols and with hack attacks.

Yes, this is an accurate description.

I think it is ok that the free fire stops when your abils are still activating, if they didn't it would be your special that is being interupted and if it is something that requires a state, it isn't going to be nice to have that stopped.  If you do activate a long wait for a special, just get ready to hit the '+' key to restart the free fire.

This isn't annoying if you consider yourself a hacker or spy. I had the reverse happening to me somtimes, which is VERY annoying. I HATE it when freefire disrupts my abilities. It's way better if abs interrupt freefire.

I Agree, I get that all the time (cause my comp sucks)

Why does it have to be either? As a player I don't care what the underlying implementation of this feature is; what I care about is how it plays, and to me this continual restart - restart - restart is clumsy, and serves no gameplay purpose. (If it served a gameplay purpose it wouldn't recycle under normal conditions or if you just happened to get under the recycle timer.) It therefore is a bug and needs to be fixed, and it needs to be fixed so it doesn't stop under either condition.

What you're saying here is that the attack recycler has more than one bug in it. Rather than have these two bugs compete for the severity prize, it seems to me that they are additive, and indicate that the attack recycler is seriously bugged and in dire need of attention.

Actually, fighting in 0-1 (why lag refuses to go) I use FAR a lot and no matter how long the timer takes, the Free Fire continued after the abil had activated.  Still, eitherway, I am fine with it stopping free fire, as long as the Specials are left to do their thing.
