I'm the guy in the very back row to the right of Rarebit, head poking around Tseng's shoulder
It was awesome to meet everyone especially all the guys I've been playing with for the past 2 and a half years. Tseng, Xeros, Ikkaku, Machete and Mastatec and all the other guys, it was a blast!
I to had a great time at Fan Faire. At first, when I saw the schedule of events and there was only 3 things listed for mxo, I was a little concerned. However, after meeting Rarebit, Machete, Tseng and Mantra at the VooDoo Lounge, my feelings quickly shifted. Meeting all the others the following day was even a greater surprise. Having our meals with Rare and Walrus was a added bonus. And Bayamos, you know that was the best *CENSORED* water you ever had, lol. Everybody was super cool. I give alot of thanks to Rarebit and Walrus for hanging out with us so much. I think every night we got kicked out of every event because we were the last ones hanging out, talking mxo, etc. Man, I added up the hours of sleep I got from Wednesday night till Sunday morning and it was only 12. I just got back home tonight.
The MXO Devs didnt have to spend all their time with us, but they DID!! They are truly awesome fellas and it shows how much they care about our community! I learned about the game and I am grateful I was able to attend. It was nice to meet some other mxo players since I didnt know anyone that was going and I agree with you guys that it was like being with a group of friends. I still have spots in my eyes from all the flashes from Havocides camera, I think he probally took about 500 pictures plus video! He should publish a video album.
Anyways, thanks to everyone and it was great meeting all of you, and I hope everyone got home safely, especially those traveling abroad.
-Cheers

I have to agree with you Bayamos. Had it not been the fact that our group was smaller than the rest, we would not have gotten the attention we did from the devs. I felt like we were all hanging with a bunch of friends than game developers. I had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner with Walrus and Rarebit, and they treated us great. They answered all our questions to the best of their abilities, and they made every effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Everyone who I met was very cool and I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet them.
At times I had the feeling that were kind of the bastard child of the Fanfaire. I even overheard a gamer who walked by one of our discussion panels and said "OMG, they (SOE) still support that game? Do people still play that?" YES WE DO! I did'nt let any of that burst my bubble because it was our community members there that kept my spirits up. What made me feel the most pride in our community was when we were at the SOE Banquet and how everyone at our tables cheered and yelled whenever MXO was called out by the MC hosting it. We were small but we made sure that people heard us. In the end people saw how we represented our game and respected our passion for The Matrix Online. I dare say we got a few converts over to try and take a look at what makes this game so special.
Thanks to Rarebit, Walrus, Rajinn, Brewko, Moonlite, and especially all The Matrix Online players who made it out to Vegas and made this trip as unforgetable as it was!
Big QFT on these two posts.
