Ever played all night in the hope there might be an event, but missed it thanks to not knowing where it was going on?  How would you like to be notified when an event is currently on?  Introducing EventNotification, the chat pop-up that allows you to see when an event is in play and where!  

Note: This is just a beta test and i'd like to see how this goes in terms of working fluently and if it is infact possible to pull off. You will recieve an ingame e-mail or tell (we'll test that out) With details of any *Organisation* event across any server.  Please note information on events will only be supplied to those with the correct organisation.

System of events: to signal an event is in place, ingame e-mail Recursion.EventNotifications.  Include details of organisation, where and anything else necessary. I have my own sources but with help from more people, it can be improved.

To sign up for this system please supply your Character(s) name, server(s) and organisation(s). Or e-mail recursion.EventNotifications if you do not wish to publicly announce alts etc. (Please note Organisations include splinter organisations: EPN and Cypherite)

Please feel free to ask any questions about the system.

Update:

It's not a new idea, but i havent seen it been put into action yet.. so SMILEY I've already got these organisations on the following servers a contact to alert for:

V1.3 Update:

 - Software has been updated to be Liaison friendly SMILEY A role playing story has been written to allow communication between the two.  This increases the productivity and the effectiveness oh the software SMILEY

 - E-mail system has been finalised and Database setup ready for input.

System Software Analysis:

When an event is currently in process, a supplier of information should contact Recrsion.eventsnotifications with information on where the event is taking place and who the event is for and any other details they wish.  This information upon sending is forwarded through the Eventsnotifications system (ie me) to all the members listed in the database.

The database is currently growing but is lacking is confident suppliers, so the list of names is irrevocably useless. Also parts of the database are not being fully completed; organisation.  Please note: Members of the database missing an Organisation will NOT recieve notifications.

Great Idea!!!! But it also helps to have connections on all servers. But an in-game email would be pretty sweet.

Unfortunatly not at present SMILEY I'd like to look into getting it automated but it is running aslong as i can have it on and i've been keeping things running as much as i can. As i said its still in beta stage and being tested so if theres anyone that would like to help give me a shout and tell my how you can SMILEY

I think the easiest way would be to add them all to a notepad file like so

vector-hostile.Nubious81; vector-hostile.skarn; syntax.neopill

then paste it to the TO: on the e-mail. Then just type whatever to all of ya.

I've been having trouble with the automation thing, but i didn test semi-automation but it took too long SMILEY so unless i can get formal stuffs its out the window...

First testing was done, although a few e-mails failed. After adjusting everything seamed all right a few more of the name tests and we're away.

STILL LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO HELP REVERT INFORMATION ON EVENTS!! (if you would like to say in your sign up post or something SMILEY)

(cant add names yet, not at database computer, will when i get home)

This thing sounds like TasteeWheat's ZionMainFrame. Just so you know, (and I'd hate to kill it for you), but if it becomes automated in game, you'll have to shut down. They did that to ZionMainFrame because technically, it's considered a bot. Just letting you know ahead of time.

I'd sign up but I'm....retired for the time being.

Be careful about automating it.  Any sort of bot (no matter how awesome and good for the community) is against the EULA.

Explain? its been cried about from these small events started "we don't know when they will happen" "i missed another one last night" This is the answer really.  It has its own story so doesnt brake any ingame incharacter rules (beta has been mostly ooc except with liaisons) It is a "tool" if you wish, a machine that is alot more efficient in getting any message, information or data to the required person(s).

Be careful about automating it.  Any sort of bot (no matter how awesome and good for the community) is against the EULA.

I sent every liaison an e-mail and currently i've spoken to two or three... all of which wont accept it, naturally. I guess someone high up doesn't trust this for leaks.

 - Going to add afore mentioned names in a bit.

 - Automation isn't looking to good, i'd like to keep this running and i don't want to risk the project.
