While helping some fellow redpills on the Recursion server today a message came across my screen.

Before I continue I'd like to say that I usually remain positive and optimistic in most of my posts. This one will not be so optimistic or positive I guess however, it's not a 100% negative rant. I'd just like to say how this made me feel and what I think.

Spiderman has nothing to do with the Matrix. The only similarity the two have is that they are both a work of fiction, or science fiction. Players were turned into cats and I'm not sure what else and my guess is for answering a question correctly. Neat, funny seeing cats jump around Mara Central.

My point is, couldn't the time spent on this have been better placed on bug fixes, or the extreme lack of content we've been dealing with since launch? I mean, live events happen and a subscriber has to be very lucky to actually be directly involved in them anymore but the whole server needs to know and should be a part of Spiderman trivia? I know this happened on Vector as well and it was Matrix trivia but still, is it necessary?

Has Paul Chadwick left MXO? Has developement come to a screeching hault?

Thoughts?

this seems like a good time to ask again about some "advert" for a pirates game a while ago that many people apparently complained about and took you right out of the game. any takers?

as for the above, sounds like a "CSR event". i don't really care if they do PvP competitions as you can sort of tie it into the game as a whole and it gives PvPers something to do, but a spiderman quiz? meh. thats not so much breaking the fourth wall as it is smashing it into the ground with a sledgehammer then dancing on the remains.

The other day, a CSR made a random trivia out of nowhere in Tabor W on Syntax. His question was simple, when was the Matrix release in the UK. For me, that's ok. Doing cross-promotion, unlike it is explicitely labeled as a publicity, is not. If the CSR wants to have fun with players, ok, but this is the Matrix Online, not a geek chatroom. Content like this should be Matrix related.

I agree that if something like this goes down it should be Matrix related but I still think whatever time spent on this however large or small, could have been better used elsewhere. I am not attacking the person who carried it out at all just so everyone knows. We all know what MXO is missing and discuss it both in-game and on the forums. Players and content, in a nutshell.

Relevant, solid content for all to utilize and enjoy, Matrix style.
