The kill code is coming along nicely, as I think you will see. I would not have chosen the same target as the General did, but, eh, one was as good as another for this little test, and it is amusing to indulge the foibles of those who work for me, when I can do so at no additional cost.
I have heard the muttering that the General is a liability to our cause; to those mutterers, I say only that you fail to see certain very real...possibilities.
Adieu.
The Merovingian

Boom, headshot.

Nothing to see here, move along, there is no Squirrel stumbling about blindly through high level NPCs looking for he doesn't know what.
#3630022858905/01/2007 20:10:15Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
The Machines really thought they could reason with Persephone, and sent a team comprised of one Agent to meet her? Honestly...
Ah well, what a pity. It was much nicer speaking with Pace than it ever was speaking with Gray. I do hope the Merovigian hasn't spoiled that, but, well, I'd be rather impressed if it hasn't.
#3630022859205/01/2007 20:18:39Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Hmm...I bet Ghost is gonna want to give the Merv a good kick in the butt after this one.
#3630022859405/01/2007 20:22:34Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Aww, poor Pace...
Evil Mervs!
#3630022859505/01/2007 20:22:41Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Great now Pace is out of commission too?!?
Since when is it smart to try and kill agents?
#3630022859705/01/2007 20:35:24Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Whoah...
I hope Pace will be OK. Or maybe they could bring back Skinner 2.0 :O
#3630022860005/01/2007 20:40:38Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
It's about time we take action against the Machines...
(( Darn cool lookin event. Just curious.. were those npc's next to Pace during the conversation? ))
#3630022860105/01/2007 20:40:43Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
So the Merovingian outright attacks an Agent, this will make things... interesting.
#3630022860305/01/2007 20:47:04Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Good thing it wasnt another effin Liason this time around. Think I wouldst stand another one of those kills even if it wasnt one whom i work with.. if it was then... id just go ballistic like the general.. and plot for a really long time on how to get back at the people who killed the liason's....... but thats the my imagination going... =P
#3630022861305/01/2007 21:54:22Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
It seems to me an unneccessary risk to openly attack one of the two highest-profile agents in the system like that, when there are so many random useless ones. Why stir up the hornet's nest and have the whole Machine organization after you when you can simply test it on some random anonymous agent? It's a tactilally unwise move.
I'm glad I wasn't there because I would have disobeyed orders.

Pace was the only one trusting enough to get caught alone at a meeting.

Felicidades soldados!
Obviously, the kill-code was not designed for la Italiana, but it no doubt had a notorious effect on her. I don't think she will ever be the same, if she survives. Although, in not sure if we can call an Agent a living thing...
#3630022867705/02/2007 00:49:58Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
This event looked like it kicked major rear! The Merovingian is smarter than I thought. Now that Pace will be considered useless to the Machines, Pace will no doubt choose exile. I am sure the Merovingian will welcome her into the herum. I would.

She's not very smart anyway. An Agent, designed to work closer with humans would trust Persephone (an exile) because...?

Sweet to see that vacuous blonde bimbo go down, too bad I couldn't have been there in person..... The Apothecary is a joy to have around, we need to hang onto her...I have a little list...

Right you are, exile. Needless to say, we will now step up our efforts to schedule an appointment for The Merovingians deletion.
That was an unwise move Merv, don't start something you can't finish.
Be seeing you.

The Machines will get up to work, again. Soon enough, kill codes developed by the masked Exile will be useless, again. (Again because she had been abandoned once already.)
Enjoy the moment, Merovingian. Breath deep. Drink your wine. They are coming.

Just awesome.))

((Pace returns as a brainwashed Cypherite! ROFL!))
Its a shame that such backstabbing can happen to even a machine. Even though we all contribute to finding and the deletion of The General. Like Veil said, "Pace will get hers." *claps* Good call, ma'dam.. Good call. *chuckles*
#3630022891705/02/2007 09:29:55Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Would'a been nice if the killcode had been created for Pace. I don't know about the rest of ya but I could sure do without listing to that bimbo fawning over Ghost, or the random Epeeners that cross her path.
I never thought I'd say this, but... Way to go Mervs! I guess you guys do have your uses.
/salute

Ohh wow, so that's what happened!
I had to leave and missed that meeting with the Merovingian after it looks like But I did get to help beat up some security guys! That looked like a lot of fun, but poor Agent Pace! What will happen to her??

Because of a confusion in programing. She is indeed designed to work closer with humans, but when there are several programs that possess human emotion and human behavior...
Let's just say the Machines didn't see the connection between humans and programs (or stubbornly fail to admit such a connection) and didn't put that into account.
#3630022898905/02/2007 11:26:51Re:[7.2.2] Pity about the pretty Agent - Recursion - 4/30/07
Based on the last couple of weeks I make that Merovingian + General 2, Machines 0.
Score.

Heh, good shot of Baten and I fighting those SWAT programs! Wish I'd been on a bit earlier so I could have been in the thick of things. Things in the Real held me up, I'm afraid
Morraeon: Ooh, pretty shot of Miss Innocence-as-me with the Boss. Hoo, whee! Wait till he sees my snazzy new RSI of my own.

...meh, Im sick of Pace anyway, We need Gray to put his foot down, and when that happens look out.
Criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding. In this case Agent Pace.

How very selective of you. But let's not forget:
a) The Machines control their hologram routines;
b) The Machines control their helicopters;
c) The Machines can disrupt the Elite Commandos' comms channels.
d) The attack on Stalingrad is ongoing.
Edit: Nice timing Ski-... Skarn.

Procurator, your losing you boldness because your name has the '[]' in it, it is reading those ones instead of the ones that are placed in automatically, you will have to see Raijinn about getting them changed to '<>' or '()' good luck with that

I'll admit I forgot about the holograms but the other stuff is why I referred to 'the last couple of weeks'. The helicoptors etc were longer ago.

Poor, poor, Agent Pace. You will pay for this frenchman, believe me, the wrench too, next time a killcode is fired it won't be into a Machine.

This is appalling... The Mervs will pay dearly for what they have done to our Agent.
