Message found and decrypted by a Zion hovercraft:

Peace. Order. Stability. This is what they all fight for. Why? They believe this is the way to a successful future. That peace will give them happiness. That order will keep them safe. That stability will bring them fulfillment. This is wrong.

Life is not about peace, order and stability. Quite the opposite in fact. War, chaos and conflict. I can already hear the cries of insanity that would ensue if they heard this.

But it is logical. If one is to believe that the universe started with a ‘Bang', then one is to believe that from the very conception of reality there was chaos. We were created from it. Every single fiber of our being the product of an explosive chain reaction that took place billions of years ago. For the religious there would be some disagreement. However, there have been those existing even as early as the Greeks who believed pandemonium had a part to play; Eris, the Greek God of strife and discord.

Nevertheless, here we are. Human kind. The current pinnacle of evolution. And yet, for our intelligence, our skill, our free will, we are barely different from the animals and beasts we once hunted down. We are not a peaceful kind.

From the moment we are born, we are in a state of conflict. Be it sibling rivalry, fighting back our natural urges, or something altogether darker. I believe the second example serves us best. Our minds are in a constant state of conflict. Those who understand Freudian concepts will recognize the term "id". The unconscious part of our mind that exists from birth. The natural part of our mind. The part that acts only on instinct, and seeks pleasure. It does not believe in peace. Peace is a moral idea. A social idea. Without these unnatural barriers we are left with two conflicting desires. The life drive, and the death drive, or Thanatos An urge inherent in all living beings to return to a state of non-existence.

And what about conflicting emotions? Love, happiness, anger, hate. How can peace be kept between two people when the mind itself is a war ground.

War too, is natural. Throughout history nations have waged war against one another. Yet, here we still are. This is the more shocking truth. Not only is war natural, but it is the key to the future. Without it there is stagnation. War causes change. It allows for improvement. A more recent example would be our truce, opening up many new options.

And what of the unfortunate losers in these wars? Those crippled by war. Empires crumbling in the face of a superior enemy. The answer is simple. "Survival of the fittest." A cruel statement perhaps, but what else has willed us to survive in this cold, harsh reality.

So what are peace, order and stability if they are not life? Once again, the answer is quite simple. Death. This is the only form where true peace and order can truly be found. And so we will give them the peace and order they fight for. Change is coming, and blood will once again need to be shed for a greater cause. Those who fight for peace and honor will find themselves falling to those who understand war and survival. How futile. There is no honor in death.

I will bring them peace without mercy.

It is the purpose of those who have fallen from grace,

To plant the trees that will grow the fruit; the apple of discord,

And though their achievements will not be viewed as the deeds of Saints,

Justice will be done, even should the world perish,

And when the old one does, they shall usher in a perfect world.

A chaotic world.

A new world.

((Hmm, I liked it, but I'm not sure where you're going with it. I presume there's going to be a follow up?))

A different perspective, but very good.

((It was just part of an idea that I'd be messing around with in my head, that I first writ down, and then later typed up and changed. I'm trying to get back into writing. I hope it was put together well. I intend to carry it on.))

Persausive and impressive.... entropy takes its rightful place at last!

((It seems a little convoluted and lacking in direction, but I assume this is merely the epilogue to something larger.  It succeeded in intriguing me however, which is no mean feat))

((Thanks for all of the comments. It had several purposes. I wanted to get out of my writing dry-spell, and I'd wanted to write something like that for a while. And I also wanted to intrigue the readers. I guess you could call it an epilogue, but it may be better to think of it as one of my characters sharing his new found beliefs (I won't go into it because when I finally get to writing a story, I will be delving into this.)    ))
