Ever since I uninstalled and repatched last week, the game has been playing up on me.  When I jack in to a new area all the nearby building take a few minutes to load, and the textures of other RSIs and the Hardline all take a while to get their textures

I dont get any lag at all, the game runs as normal, I just have to run around blind for a while, or wait ages outside mission area for the interior to load.

Also, once everything has loaded, the door textures are being mixed up, in the same mission, you can see these doors are the brown wooden ones when they are supposed to be the white metallic onces, all the doors on the inside of the building were the white metalic ones.

The game was working cool before I uninstalled, after the reinstall and patch, all this has happening.

Was there any reason you uninstalled and reinstalled?

First thing I would probably suggest is running a full system check just to make sure all the files are present and correct. To do this, load the game and before pressing accept, click the full system check button and then press accept. Once the launch has restarted wait for the login prompt and then press the full system check button again and login. The once the patcher has finished checking/correcting/updating choose your character and play away and see if there's any difference.

If that doesn't fix it, the question will be has anything else changed on your system? Also post up your dxdiag information as requested in the thread at the top of the forum.

I uninstalled as I added the code to useropts which increased jpeg screenshot quality and the MxO launcher would not open at all, when I double clicked on the icon nothing happened so I uninstalled and then reinstalled and patched up and the same thing happened, the launcher would not open, so I deleted my useropts and it worked again <---Idiot.

Anyway, I am running a system check now to see if that does anything.

Also, since the re-install, I have had to use 'msconfig' to close all background programs before MxO will stop crashing after I select a character.  That is the only change I have done.

I will post the dxdiag info if the check turns nothing up.

My DXDIAG is too big to fit in one post, is there a way to sent the .txt file?

I sent in a /ccr, Brewko kindly passed my problem on to TSR-Chris L who game me this answer....

You may want to make the following changes in your Matrix Online directory (usually locate at C:\Program Files\Monolith Productions\The Matrix Online or C:\Program Files\Sony\The Matrix Online\):

1.) Please delete all of the following files: client.dll, artpclnt.dll, binkw32.dll, msvcp71.dll, msvcr71.dll, patchw32.dll, autoexec.cfg, options.cfg, useropts.cfg,matrix.exe.
2.) Once those files are deleted, right-click on your Profiles folder and choose "Rename".  Add a number to the end of the folder name (such as the number 1 to make the name "profiles1";). ***Please note that you will lose your User Interface settings, maps and hardlines- do NOT delete this folder or you cannot undo this change!***

Once complete, restart The Matrix Online game.  Toggle a Full System Check from the EULA screen then login.  If you are still having issues, please contact us again.

I didn't have the artpclnt.dll file in my directory, so I deleted everything else it told me to and renamed my profile, did the system check and I am still having the same problems.  I rechecked my directory and the artpclnt.dll file still isn't there.

Ahhh, simplest resolution to the original problem would have been to remove the useropts.cfg file SMILEY

But everything is easy in hindsight.

Anyway, post the dxdiag file over multiple pages or upload it and link to it from somewhere. SMILEY
