An increase in awakenings?

I've heard that there's now an increase in awakened bluepills because of the red sky, something around 7%, and I was wondering two things, 1.  Are 7% of bluepills actually being awakened or is the number lower?  2.  Are the bluepills surviving these awakenings or are they just dying in their pods? 

I say let war come, things have become far to complacent for my liking anyway.
