So if there was a faction called "EZLN", would it get treated the same way?

Me too.

What if some started a faction called Red Army...... they all wore 'Demon Army Trenches', they would be known as The Red Army Faction..... 
I also thought it was Royal Air Force, it would have been a very small amount of people that knew about those guys.

My 2 cents:
MxO is NO PLACE for the use of names/insignia pertaining to political/terrorist/extremist/religious groups or even 'secret societies'.
Keep your personal politics and affiliations to yourself and out of the game, none of us need another's politiking shoved down our throats.
