Life, The Universe, and everything in between.

Well, after a lengthy and intriguing conversation with a few members of our community following the Virginia Tech Memorial Service tonight, I began to realize something. The members of this community really are deep, we can really relate, and we can really have intelligent conversations around here.

So, I came to the conclusion that I should attempt to hold weekly nights where a bunch of the community just sits down and has a talk about a certain topic. This topic will be different each week and it will be entirely out of character, so come in, knowing that you can be yourself around other people.

Our first topic will be derived from a movie I had really taken the time to sit down and watch fairly recently: A Time to Kill. Is there truly a time to kill? When is it justified? Why would you believe it be tolerable to take another's life?

Our first conference will be at 5PM MCT, 8PM EST in the Camon Central Church on the 28th, a Saturday. I look forward to seeing how many would come and attend to talk about Life, The Universe, and everything in between.

Oh man, this is exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of just the other night. I started talking to a friend in Debir out of pure boredom, and it turned into a full fledge discussion between, on average, 4 people. A random passerby or two would add their two cents. In fact, the result of our discussion is in General Discussion, so it shows the awesome stuff we can get into.
But yeah, I suck at organizing things, so I'm glad somebody else had this idea right about when I did

cmdr. dez this sounds like a great idea but like all great ideas there will be ppl out to disrupt anything that is good and pure on recurrsion but i will most definetly try to be there to support you ideas and philosophy is not something i am lacking in being an ordained minister in rl and a nazarite priest in the nazarite nation the gnostic and spiritual run deep within me and would welcome any and all discussions on the world and its workings

I really enjoyed that conversation today at the Church so I'll definitely attend these discussions when I can.

This sounds like a cool idea, I like a good discussion about topical issues. I'll come to the next one for sure.
