HOI people. I come here today with one question: How to add texture?
Also how to find the right one, create the right one, what filters to use, etc are implied in this question.

I'm currently working (bleh.. from time to time) on this little thingy here, the red being the area where the display lighting (going inwards mostly) should be. I could need a tip on how to do that too, since I just can't figure out how to do lighting.
As far as texturing goes, it does not need to look overwhelmingly realistic, it's enough if I can make it look like an in-game item.

>_<' Forgot to downsize this..., so... there's the link:

Help appreciated.

EDIT: Forgot to say: The PDA part should be metal, the keyboard part plastics.

HOI to you aswell.

Select the layer you want the texture on and right click it.
Then select Blending options and go to pattern overlay.
There you have a various options regarding texturing.
There are ofcourse other ways but that's the easiest.

I'm sure someone else can explain in greater detail but that's about it. =P

Yeah, but that would mean, I would need an existing texture... which I don't have. Maybe a link?

Oh and yeah, I'm more into creating own textures with nice little PS tricks and such. So some ideas 'bout that 'd be great ^.^
