I thought I'd take a moment to let Raijinn know about an issue we often experience here at MxO.  Hopefully we can get some constructive feedback and move towards identifying and solving the problem.

Please do not use this thread to let your skeletons out of the closet.  Please do not discuss specifics of past CSR actions.  Please do not post your opinion of any CSR or MxO staff member.  Please do nothing to break the Eula or CoC or ToS or any other group of letters that shouldn't be broken.

The problem goes something like this:  A player writes a CCR ticket about another player.  This may be for any number of reasons - rivalry, misunderstanding, revenge, religeon, or just plain not knowing what's going on.  The CSRs, as part of their job, are required to deal swiftly and firmly with the reported player.  Whatever action is taken appears to players to be lacking in judgement, proof, reason, justice, fairness, truth, investigation, or perhaps all of these.  Disgruntled players take to the forums in order to post their feelings, opinions or proofs in support of one or another of the people allegedly involved.  Spam and flames ensue.  Inevitably the thread(s) are locked down by a moderator citing that CSR action may not be discussed in the forums.  Many players are left feeling angry, hurt or frustrated at the lack of closure on the subject, which by then matters dearly to them.

It seems to be the view of the community that a significant number of good and decent players have been banned unfairly in this manner at the hands of certain other players.  I'm sure some people would like to point fingers, but please, this is not the place to do so.  I understand that the CSRs are 'just doing their job', but this problem has cropped up time and again apparently persecuting people who were 'just playing the game'.  The community backlash that always happens after these incidents is a major concern to me and, I think, many other players.
So I'm letting you know before it happens, Raijinn.  I know all the threads are stored away where you can see them.  Dig them up, dust them off, and let us know if you can help.

Once again, please do not post flames, spam, or anything else that you just plain shouldn't in this thread.  It's for constructive feedback.  Not Pandora's Box.

Well I can start for instance that I CCRed Endo by misstake and told them that but they...errm were vague in the least. So just as a note:

I think I made a misstake CCR-ing *name*, because some other players told me that this is a new bug since the latest server restart and randomly people seem to float but are unaware of it on their screens. It seems to be a graphical glitch. I saw several other people floating like that and I got told 2 times I did it myself. I have /buged it and I am terribly sorry for the inconvinience, and I am ready to take full responsibility for the action taken against that player.

That kind of messages apperantely don't fix the problem...

Hmmm...well...aslong as they quit telling me, "Thanks for playing Star Wars Galaxies" I'll be happy.

Thank you for contacting SOE. The server name you gave us does not excist in our list of Everquest 2 servers. Could you please review your ticket and provide us with a valid server name?

Im of the opinion of the exact opposite, that alot of peolpe who have broken the TOS over and over have -not- been banned by the CSR staff.

-_^ Does this mean that The CSR in question was wrong and Endo should now fairly be unbanned, Since it was a graphical Error.

I'm of the same opinion.

Also, I'm not sure if i should post the screen...but I'm pretty sure CSR's shouldn't give me the station name of my faction mate's account when i CCR him to get his character un-stuck.

Nope, they shouldn't do that. It's for that exact reason that we're not allowed to have the same forum name as station name. See, they're unaware of their own system, the way it's set up and the reason behind it.
#36300210205 04/10/2007 09:53:55 Re:CSR and MxO

I actually had a d@mn good experience with the CSRs regarding a faction name database bug. They were promt to respond to my ticket replies and able to escalate the matter appropriately.

As far as /ccr's for conduct, however, I have to agree with most of you. There have been many players reprimanded or even banned undeservingly, while others more deserving of this type of action go unpunished, going as far as to use the very /ccr system that protects them against those they choose to report. It may just come down to who can manipulate the system better.

That, in my opinion, gets the Inqubus stamp of approval.

heh heh

To be honest in this situation some input from 9mmfu would be helpful as many players are going to be too worried about jumping around the bugged area now in case of being accused of stuff. And it's not like you can really not move round this area and go elsewhere it is a prime pvp location and players are constantly jumping around in or near it.
