You're seen Morpheus. You've heard him talk about Neo being alive, yet you still doubt. Think about what the Oracle said Smith was. "The equation trying to balance it's self out." There are four theories, in my opinion, for Smith being back. The first is to blow it off simply as an anniversary event.
The Second is to believe that there will be a new one. If there is something trying to entirely wipe out the system, then there needs to be someone to save it, and we don't match him in power. Maybe Sarah Edmontons will become the new one. Maybe she already is. But then why haven't we seen her? Why have we heard Neo is still alive? That leads to the third theory.
Are the Machines trying to pull another fast one with this? Some of you saw Morpheus details and they looked like scrambled numbers that didn't mean anything. Some of you tried to decode them and got various results. Could Morpheus's RSI be just another Program like Cyrptos? Are they trying to lure Redpills together in one spot for "Neo's Grand Return?" Do they control Neo and Smith? The fact here is there is too little to trust and to much to take into consideration.
As for the last Therory. It's really Quite simply. Everything we've heard is true. Neo is coming back to fight Smith again. But what will the outcome be? I've heard things such as a new story character being introduced from the movies. That leaves, Neo, Trinity (Who is dead by all accounts), some of the Agents, and a few exiles, such as Rama Kandra I believe it was. We've heard he was the assassin, some have proof, but was he actually really considered a character? Not known by his own name. Who else is left to make an appearance? I'm slightly Zion biased, because I've been there all my life, untill I recently joined the Machine cause, so I don't know as much about the other side. But hey, maybe that red pill just went straight to my head, and I'm completely wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.
