PM this information to Raijinn within 1 week of your event and we'll get it posted up on DN1 as long as it's an event that everyone can take part in. If you happen to have any screenshots of the type of things that you'll be doing at the event please provide a link to them in your PM as we'd like to make some Party Fliers for the announcement on DN1.
Also, after the event takes place, if you write up a recap of the event and post it in the Player Event forum PM me a link to it so we can feature that on DN1 as well!
Please put the subject of your PM to me as "Player Event Announcement" for an announcement or "Player Event Recap" for a recap. This will help me sort out the messages so that I can give it proper attention.
Since MxO players have such a great bunch of folks that like to run their own events, I thought this would be a great way to highlight that. I hope to make a template soon to make "Party Fliers" with your screenshots as the background.
Or...if you wanted to submit your own "Party Flier" or "Event Flier" please make it 400 width by 200 height and provide me a link to it. If they aren't 400x200 they will not be posted.
Get all the small ideas running as soon as, then we can slowly get the big ideas running, great!
I want DN1 to be a source where people can go to and find some cool things to do in game. I hope that with some of these ideas I can achieve that goal.

I'm not too sure if I'll be able to do that, but I will do what I can.
I think it would be more of a here's the player events for the week posting up on DN1 and then have Event Recaps as they come in. It all depends though.

I think moving forward that's the best way to do it without spamming DN1. Monday I believe would be a good day to post the announcements for the week and Wednesday we can do the recaps. We have other things going on for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday so you can expect DN1 updated every day! (That was a big thing that I wanted to do for you folks).
Thus I need the announcements 1 week in advance or prior to the start of Monday when we post the Event Announcements on DN1. Thanks!
O RLY? Currently all we have is Monday's community uplink (live event recaps of the last sub-subchapter + caption comp), Wendsdays (when deemed nessicary) Image retrieval and Friday's Other Side (RIP).

Monday makes sense for the annoucements, means it can be tied in with Uplink. And the recaps on wendsdays does mean we're guanteed something regardless of the Retrieval status.

The thing about the Les Enfants Terribles annual parties is that they are pretty much staples, almost canon. In fact both in 2005 and 2006 the Merv himself showed up personally (Persephone too). They made the Live Events boards. We had a battle royale with the other orgs outside and that was half the fun. We don't mean to be mean or exclusionary but perhaps this can inspire other orgs to come up with org-only parties.
It's just that we have this history. I mean we'll have it whether or not you advertise it or not, but these are pretty big deals, based on what transpired in 2005 and 2006. Log in as your Vector nub and we'll show you a good time too
