How about when Rarebit creates a new exile type for the story he gives them Zen Master. NPCs aren't subjected to the same balancing issues as players seeing as they can be above lvl 50 and so on.

It's like the Lupines with their own special abilities and it was said that there was no need for players to have them because they can see what they are like by fighting lupines. I know Zen Master was meant for players but at least we can see them in use.

I'm sure Zen master could of been used for thrown defense, and those moves could be fixed into the 4 sec animation play.. :(

So many times the Dev's have told us that they simply CAN'T do something. Then a few months later they do it.

It'll probly be the same with Zen Master, I can only hope.

Since Zen Master was invented to counter the uber hacks from cr1, in cr2 it would be made to counter the MKTs? Well, I'd support that =D

People speak of Zen Master as if it's a singular concept, when it's one part of the equation. If Zen Master if implemented, then what about the Trojan Horse and Citadel Coder trees?

Implementing those trees (Even if it took them much tweaking) would be so full of win I would probly soil myself. New tree's to use is the exact kind of content we need, we've got some nice PvE (Data Mining) elements and PvP (Luggable, I guess) Elements  implemented, new tree's would definitely be a big step in the right direction.

I'd bet we'll see these moves pop up again as move pills, or whatever those new image teasers are meant to represent.  Bringing back the entire branch would be too much of a hassle with the staff we have and given it's original intent, but if the moves already exist, why keep them locked in a closet somewhere.

For the same reason you only see the zombies once a year.  The interlock animations aren't polished... especially for CR2.0

Well wouldnt it be best to at least polish em up a tiny bit. I mean would make it a bit better. Or least give it the new but is still old sorta fragrance. Meh it wouldn't kill a small dev team to at least polish the *CENSORED* things once in a blue moon I swere it will do wonders ^_^

I have no idea how you did that because they disabled the abilities in CR1, before you could level that. But the buffs never increased anyway so it doesn't matter.
Edit: Does anyone else have it leveled to 50?

These abilities were designed for CR1, no way they will bring them back, unless they changed the buffs, but that's a project, and since we don't have a QA Server to test this stuff, it will never happen.

The tree is not even set up for CR2. I mean, abilities give Viral Defense for Christ's sake, it wouldn't even work with the current game.  SMILEY

No - it caused a major imbalance and was removed immediately after its accidental addition.


Oh, one more thing - Zen Master's damage figures aren't dps - before CR 2.0, damage was calculated per attack, not per second. So they'd probably be around 75+ dps in the current system, give or take.

Although i have a considerable amount of doubt that they would bring Zen Master back, it would be so ****ing cool if they would. i don't mind the animations not being polished, and what not. hell, half of the time the ones we do have don't work properly (facing the wrong way, Clipping, etc...).

i think they could probably apply the bullet time technique to the abilities and speed up parts, and slow down others to make them fit with the 4 second rule. to a degree where it still looks normal, of-course...

Here's an idea!

- release the Zen Master tree with the next patch (again), however don't say anything about it in the patchnotes
- as soon as people start posting about it on the forums call it an "accident" and that it will be fixed as soon as possible
- listen to people being unhappy about that, some might even cry or wet their pants
- come up with a "master plan" that includes leaving the abilities, even unbalanced, in the live-game for a bit, so players can actually test them and give feedback
- realese them officially with update 57 and enjoy everyone being a happy camper

The Zen Master abilities do show an Interlock Accuracy Boost, just in case that anyone cares ;)
