Whats this for?

Apparently it turns all effect off.

Its pretty odd actually - seems to turn off all h4x, puffs, trails, code and even random things like leaflets, traffic lights, bins, traffic cones and light projectors.

But aye, works.

nvm.

Aye, it's choices of things to remove does seem a little random, but it's selections are good.  Keeps Cars, Pedestrians, Fog..

Turns off, Access Node Light beams, trash cans, code from dead NPCs, Combat effects, trails, Hyperjump landing "splash", Gunshot puffs, hacks etc.  Probably more useful for Movies than screenshot editing, but certainly a nice option (and doesn't get rid of sound SMILEY )

I wish we could select what is turned off somehow. I just don't want hacks flying around and goofy glowing lights with MA moves while filming a movie, I want street lights and trashcans...

I like the way hyperspeed looks without the code...

Doesn't work for me.  SMILEY

Agreed, most of the effect removals are fine and welcomed for film makers but let us keep enviromental stuff like smoke, trash, sparks, leaflets and light glare.

Agreed. This is an awesome addition to me as I never thought it would be introduced, and you can finally get a much cleaner image especially in combat.

But it definitely has its downsides. Punching effects, gun fire and smoke should not be turned off. Car lights, or street fire aswell. And whatever else that belongs to the reality rather than being a flashy game effect.

Although maybe I'm asking too much - probably those are just all under the "visual effects" category without differentiation, and it would involve LOTs of work to accomplish that. *yawn*

This doesn't work for me at all. I had Ctrl + F mapped to /face prior to the patch.. but even when I remove that keybind and restart, I still experience no change in effects when I hit Ctrl + F.

*nods* I also had Ctrl + F mapped to another function before the patch, and as this thread says, I can't use it either.
