ive never had a problem with the game running smoothly even with 5 on 5 in mara C pvp , a few days aho something strange happened, MXO started to configure my settings before even logging in and it set it on highest details and high memory, and everything is just like it was before, but now i get massive lag i dont know whats going on.

turn the graphics back down . ---- re-adjust them untill the lag clears up .
alot of people who play games dont do the obvious. not talking about you , just people in general .
case in point - playing eq2 when it first came out - people running around - screaming --LAG LAG .
I said turn your graphics down --- few min later ,, hey thx much better . hehe .
the problem is ive always played with the grpahics turned up and everything i have a 3.0 GHZ cpu 2mb L2 cache a 7800GT PCIe and 2GB of DDR2 there shud be no reason for me to get lag. I always have played with the graphics turned up and now im getting lag like crazy i dont understand why now im getting lag as opposed to a few days ago i wasnt getting any lag. I even noticed it when logging in to the game. The game would hang for 5 min before even getting into the Monolith, SOE screen

Please post your SYSINFO file, in particular the [running processes] section.
It sounds like something is slowwing your internet connection. But unless you read the "how to post your system info" thread properly and do EXACTLY what it says we don't have the info to help you.

Hello GirlyGurl84,
I have a couple of things I want to try as a test; first completely uninstall Zone Alarm, I notice it is in your Startup Items and Running Tasks but not in your services.
If the lag does not go away, again only as a test;
First disable background programs:
1. Select the START button.
2. Select RUN.
3. Type in "msconfig" (without the "
4. Pres OK
5. Select the STARTUP tab.
6. Click on disable all. (If you are using Windows 98 or ME you will need to uncheck every thing but scan registry and systray)
7. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer
After you restart:
1. Select the Start Button
2. Select Run.
3. Type in services.msc.
4. Press OK
5. In the Services window look for the line Internet Connection Firewall/ Internet Connection Sharing or Windows Internet Connection Firewall/ Internet Connection Sharing; right click and select stop if it is available.
6. Repeat for any references to Norton or Symantecs you see.
Please note, I am not suggesting that you play MXO with your system unprotected rather these steps are offered in order to help troubleshoot.
If those steps do not resolve your issue, please make a new msinfo.txt file and post the "Running Tasks" "Services" and "Startup Programs" sections from it.
