The Bridge over Mara Central is bugged. I don't know if any other bridges are bugged the same way, but it's nothing a little test can't fix. I loaded up hacker (I had 30 reason) with some Viral Accuracy clothes, jumped onto the bridge, and proceeded to hack upon the closely gathered zerg below. Thankfully they were pre-occupied so I got off around 18 or so hacks.
Each single one was deflected. Even by a level 30.
I even tried with Upgrade Attacks, to no avail.
I jumped down, and didn't miss one hack for a good minute or so before I got destroyed by the 20 or so zerglings.
Same is happening with Sniper, except everywhere. Unless it's some player exploit, some my snipershots are NOT registering. As if it interrupts right as it's shooting off, so it doesn't hit. It takes away IS and calls for the timer though. It happened against Trilateral though, so I doubt it's some exploit.
Hmm... were they literally deflected (ie: the swirling white ball), or did they simply not cast?
I've noticed an inconsistent bug while using rifleman specials from the bridge. In certain spots, if I'm using a special, it will go through the whole timer, but simply not effect the enemy. The reuse timer starts up, so it was "used", but there was no effect on the target. No hit, nor miss. If I'm in concealment and using a Sniper Shot, it will break, as per usual.
Everything goes as normal from the player end, but it seems the bridge swallows the attack somehow.
I've had a similar problem. When sniping from the bridge, I've been unable to target some enemies. They're within range, just standing there.. I can target maybe one or two out of a group, but not be able to target the other four who're standing right next to them.

Yeah, thats not just the bridge though. I've had that happen to me on numerous occations at mara nw and probably some place else too...it's *CENSORED* near impossible to repro.
I suspect Roukan's problem is the same one as a Snipers. But, since we don't really have a "miss" animation on our target, we wouldn't notice that particular effect.
Rouk, next time you try this, could you watch your status window and see if it actually outputs a "Miss" message?
Personally, my suspicion is that the bridge is "swallowing" the attack. Perhaps a logic error between wether we can see our target or not. I highly doubt that it would be effecting the numbers themselves, but more the system reporting that we cannot actually see our target.

I've never noticed it on the bridge, but yeah... if this starts happening to me, I try to move somewhere else and try again.
I had this same problem last night with sniper shot, while fighting on the bridge I went through my set-up for sniper shot and about 80% into the sniper shot timer I came out of concealment and my sniper shot went on cooldown and flaged me. No miss nor hit it just stoped before the timer finished.

I've always seen those invisible walls as mesh misalignments, and not something that does anything more than block a characters running path.
Course, I don't remember actually trying to shoot through one. I think I'll test that one out.

I've never seen this particular problem "cut in" on an ability timer mid-launch. Might've been lag which caused it to look 80% instead of completed.

There is a bug with hackers that causes every attack to miss against every enemy no matter the level. After a certain criteria is fulfilled it will stop and you can hit stuff again. I'm still trying to figure it out but I have had the same thing when farming level 16 mobs at level 50 and its happened to me many times before. I think you have to hit them with a free-fire shot or IL them before you can affect them again. It's probably a coincidence that this occurred to you on the Mara C bridge, in normal PvP you would have been zerged and died very quickly but cause you were on the bridge you had the chance to use and miss many more attacks than normal.
