I had this problem since yesterday, the game shuts down almost emeidiatly after I start it up. I don't even get past the Accept part when it first starts. It simply shuts down. Anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Do you have any switches applied on your shortcut such as -user -pwd or even just -justpatch. If you have -justpatach then thats all it will do.
The other thing to check is do you have (and if so what is in) a useropts.cfg file?

Thanks for the assist.
Since you were playing before I am willing to bet that a file in your MXO folder got corrupted somehow;
1.) Please delete all of the following files: client.dll, artpclnt.dll, binkw32.dll, msvcp71.dll, msvcr71.dll, patchw32.dll, autoexec.cfg, options.cfg, useropts.cfg,matrix.exe.
2.) Once those files are deleted, right-click on your Profiles folder and choose Rename. Add a number to the end of the folder name (such as the number 1 to make the name profiles1). ***Please note that you will lose your User Interface settings, maps and hardlines- do NOT delete this folder or you cannot undo this change!***
Once complete, restart The Matrix Online game. Toggle a Full System Check from the EULA screen then login.
