I can't pay that... looks like Sabus might be saying goodbye to the matrix soon... Or I guess I can just get rid of my station access.. that'll work

READ: Changes to STATION ACCESS subscription.  It has no bearing on MxO as a singular entity.

It doesn't make a bit of difference guys..
The subscription is inert.

(This doesn't make sense!!!)

That's why he was saying he might need to just cancel the Station Access and go for a MxO only sub.

I took it as he meant the former, rather than the latter.  In any case, if you are already paying $26.00 a month...what difference is another $4 for Vangaurd?

(( Dear god if it goes to $35 for if that spy type mmo comes out and is part of the station access plan... im seriously going to go ape.... but if it gets to $60 a month pffft kiss me goodbye thats like a 12 month sub for eq but $60 a month for more than one game =/ ))

ur not really saving any thing if u have station pass nowadays then... i mean the games are 15$ a month and most people on that pass only play 2 games... bad mistake by SOE IMO
#36300177053 03/01/2007 04:13:03 Re:30 bucks!
Yeah i like to have a play at some of the others...though when i get Vanguard itl be on there too. its a nice thing but yeah increasing price isnt great either

I just hope this won't kill MxO some more ...
#36300177238 03/01/2007 07:58:43 Re:30 bucks!
Has anyone stopted to think that that extra 4 dollars a month could benifit MxO.  I mean its more money, and i know its not directly to MxO but who knows, it could benifit us. The Vangaurd, EQ, and Starwars geeks could be building our future SMILEY
#36300177390 03/01/2007 10:14:50 Re:30 bucks!
It doesn't matter if they make more money, unless they decide to budget it in this direction.  Which given the track record, I doubt.
#36300177394 03/01/2007 10:16:20 Re:30 bucks!
just stay with MxO and drop the rest of those subs cause MxO is the best game out of all of them imo. you will get that 15 dollar sub, and that is it

It's more money but it'll go toward the new game's Dev's pay packets and Sony's coffers. I can't see it Benefiting MxO in any way other than possibly encouraging people who play the other MMO's on the pass to start playing MxO......

If SoE gets more money they will have more money to invest in the Access games period.  MxO is part of station access and Im sure it gets some revenue from the station accounts.  I know it fun to think SoE is money grubbing whose focus is purely profit but that's not neccesarily in line with their business plan.  I think there plan it more to levelage all station account games and to get people subscribed to the network.  They have a couple of hot games in the works I will just have to buy the boxes and not put up a monthly sub for them.

Therefore, with each new Access game, the pass becomes more and more attractive.  I imagine it's more attractive to the people who just play games to entertain themselves vs. trying to min/max one game at a time.  MxO isn't neccesarily a game people go out to buy.  I think new players are probably more likely on the pass and checking it out because they can.  I have been really impressed by the game so far and am glad I got the pass just because of it.  I like the other games too and find value in 30 bucks a month for EQ2, SWG, MXO and Vanguard.  The offerings will only get better even if that's means price increases.

who seriously plays all those games on a regular basis to justify 30/month? And the games included on the station pass are hardly attractive. Everquest maybe, but that's one game for 30/month. I currently sub only to MxO for 15/month, so it makes more sense to sub to one game rather than a package of games you'll never play.

And tell me one corporation whose aim is not profit, and I'm talking big-time, the likes of which Sony can accurately be labelled a part of.
