Cloudwolf sent me several chapter 7.3 LESIG transcripts recently, which I've added to the website. Thanks, Cloudwolf! I've also added a transcript to chapter 4.2, added all the Machine seduction missions, one Machine graduation mission, and the Merovingian version of "Memento Mori" to the "Unarchived Missions" section. Plus, I've updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", and "Miscellaneous Documents" sections. I was also able to update the "NPC Dialogue" section by transcribing from some old bug report screenshots. You never know where you'll find helpful stuff like that. ^_^

Things are looking up for this site. ^_^
#36300288794 07/22/2007 03:34:57 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

   After some setbacks, I finally got my 7.3 transcripts uploaded. I also updated the chapter 4.1 section with one transcript, and updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", "NPC Dialogue", and "Miscellaneous Documents" sections. Plus, I updated the Links page to include Zeissman's blog, which I forgot to add earlier. Sorry, my fault. ^^;;

Just another one of my typical reminders: the logs you send in don't have to be for recent events.  I run an archive, not a news site. ^_~

Oh, and my transcript of this event totally owns its corresponding live event post. SMILEY *runs away*

Thought you might like Beirn's background I got from the recent Zion crit:

After gaining great power from stolen cheat codes, Beirn was captured and preserved by the Merovingian's wife, Persephone. His obsession with her has made him a willing--and dangerous--captive. His human form having long since perished, Beirn is now more Exile than man.

   Thanks, I appreciate it, but I already grabbed some screenshots of it from the same mission. ^^;;

Hmm.  Does anyone have Beirn's details from before he joined the Merovingian?  Or anyone else, for that matter. SMILEY

Added a new section called "Logging Tips for New People and Veterans Alike". I've also updated the "Character Details" and "Item Details" pages.
#36300303340 08/14/2007 11:52:57 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

Just so everyone knows, I've been offered my own space on another site. ^_^  My site is now at http://archivalscience.shock-therapy.org/ .

The old location now displays a link to the new place.
#36300315861 09/03/2007 00:34:26 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

My chapter 8.1 update is being delayed, so I decided to update the "Unarchived Missions", "Miscellaneous Documents", "Character Details", "Item Details", and "NPC Dialogue" sections.

I've recently branched out onto Recursion and Vector, so there will be more Recursion/Vector transcripts and character details from me.  My screen names are "TheBee" on Recursion, and "Sasword" on Vector.

I'd also like to point out that my site now has a transcript submission system, courtesy of RockyB, who offered me some space on his www.shock-therapy.org site recently, and has more experience in web sites than I do. SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />   So feel free to send me transcripts via this new system, and I'll be able to personally look them over and add them to the site.

   Edit: *winces* Well, that update didn't go so well.  I broke the site. ^^;;;;

   Edit: Okay, it still needs some repairs, but everything is viewable now.  Sorry, first major update since the move to the new space. ^^;;;;

   Edit: And everything is back to normal.  Thanks RockyB! ^^;;;
#36300324113 09/17/2007 02:04:19 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

Finally uploaded my 8.1 transcripts. I've also updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", "Miscellaneous Documents", and "NPC Dialogue" sections. All updates from now on will be placed under the "New Logging System" section.

*sighs* Now I can rummage through the huge backlog of 8.2 logs I have collected so far. -_-

Hey Othinn, I noticed while reading some of your older logfiles that you keep whispering yourself with random letters/numbers. Why do you do that?

TheTaxidermist wrote:

I do that in the hope that I'll avoid timing out while standing around and doing nothing.  I do that in chat rooms for the same reason.  I usually sent tells to myself if I'm dancing, sitting, or doing something that doesn't allow me to use emotes.  If you watch me carefully during an event, every so often you'll see me doing emotes that don't spam the system window, like /talk2, /overheat, /touchearpiece, and /ballet, for the same reason.

Not sure if it's actually doing any good, but I'd prefer that the game didn't disconnect me for any reason.  Disconnecting puts irreparable holes in my logs.

It also helps if I'm unsure of my connection's status.  If I don't get a whisper back, or if an emote doesn't work, then that might mean that my connection is dead.  Which is another thing a logger doesn't want.
#36300337220 10/14/2007 07:12:04 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

   10/14/07 - Uploaded my 8.2 transcripts.

Whew!  Finally, I'm caught up.  I've got more stuff I'd like to add, like more Character Details, post-truce changes in the beginning missions, and so on.  But I wanted to get this bulk out of the way first.
#36300341955 10/24/2007 02:56:48 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

10/24/07 - Uploaded Agent Skinner's and the Merovingian's calls to battle that occurred towards the end of "The Race to Find The One".

I have a larger update planned for later, but I just had to update the site for this, because I personally find this to be very exciting. ^-^

The Wikipedia storyline summary for "The Race to Find The One" event says that Niobe sent a message to the players telling them to fight the lightning Agents.  This is somewhat incorrect.  Each organization received there own message.  For some time now, I've known that the Merovingian version of this message could be found on SuperJenius' site.  Major props to him for saving that. ^-^

Every so often, I use text and image search engines to find more dialogue and details to put on my site.  A short time ago I was doing just that when I stumbled upon the Flickr account of a player named "godofcheese".  He probably hasn't played in a very long time.  But as I paged through his screenshots, I was extremely surprised to find the Machine version of the "call to battle" message.

I just had to update my site with this.  I honestly never thought I'd find all three messages.  It's really exciting. ^-^

Anyway, now that that's out of the way ...

Agent Skinner calls upon the Machinist operatives to fight against the lightning Agents.

The Merovingian calls upon his operatives to fight against the lightning Agents.

The Zion version of the message has been on my site since the beginning.  Also, I hope this helps people to understand that I'll gladly type up a copy of a transcript if you have all (or at least most) of it in screenshot form.

Okay, I'll stop geeking out now. SMILEY
#36300343661 10/27/2007 00:02:58 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

10/27/07 - Updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", and "Miscellaneous Documents" sections.

The biggest update here is in the Character Details section.  I decided to add Exile gang member Details.  Note that many of them are blank.  These represent the "lost" ranks of the Richland and Westview gangs.  At one point I did have all of these documented, but when the reflow occurred and many ranks were removed, I stupidly decided that these ranks were no longer canon and tossed the screenshots.  I normally don't throw stuff away, and I'm still kicking myself over this stupid decision of mine. -_-

I was able to recover all nine Blackwood ranks due to the fact that the "lost" ranks have appeared recently as event spawns, mission NPCs, data mining spawns, etc.  Demon Army Yurei and Demon Army Tengu (which no longer appear in-game as far as I know) are there because, at one point after the reflow, they still appeared on a single rooftop in far northeastern Tabor Park.

I firmly recall a fansite devoted to the Disciples gang that had all nine ranks on it.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it. -_-  If anyone knows where I can find it, please inform me.

There's also the possibility that some of the "lost" ranks aren't really lost, and I simply missed them.  If you find a rank in-game that isn't on the site, feel free to mention it.

I realize that the ranks aren't in any specific order, and that they only go up to around the middle of Downtown.  The order you see on the site is mostly the same order my screenshots are in, which I took whenever I found a rank.  And so far I've only documented up to the middle of Downtown.  Someday I'll get around to putting the ranks in order, and getting the rest of the gangs up there.

Anyway, I'll be checking my old bug report files for any of the "lost" ranks.  Keep in mind that Rarebit sometimes spawns "lost rank NPCs" during events, or they may appear in missions or while data mining.  So keep an eye out for them.  If you have the Details of any of the "lost" ranks, or know where I can find them, I'd highly appreciate it if you told me.

#36300356138 11/20/2007 06:14:40 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

11/20/07 - Uploaded my 8.3 transcripts, plus some transcripts for the "Special Events" section.

Next, I'll update the Character and Item Details section.  And at some point I'm going to add the "post-truce" changes to the Unarchived Missions section.  I've gone through them all, so all I have to do is add a new section to the missions that are already there.  Plus, I was able to grab the dialogue I missed on the Merovingian mission, "Digital Disturbance". ^-^
#36300362650 12/01/2007 01:23:44 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

12/01/07 - Updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", and "Miscellaneous Documents" sections.

You may notice that my Character Details section has increased in size.  I've decided to add blank entries for many of the live event and LESIG characters that I don't have the details for, so there are a large number of empty spaces now.  I did this to help show what I do and don't have.  If you have the details for an entry that is blank on the site, then feel free to donate the information you have.

This is by no means a complete list of the characters that have shown up over the course of the story.  At some point, I'm going to have to page through the various event recaps and get the ones I don't have.  Oh, and there are some new details in there amongst all the blank entries.

Special thanks to an old MxO website I found (I forgot the name and I can't seem to find it again, oddly), where I discovered a couple of the details for the "lost ranks" of the Exile gangs in Richland and Westview.  Thanks to that site, the archive now has the details for all of the Bells gang, along with miscellaneous other ranks.

And special thanks to Rarebit, for spawning some of the "lost ranks" in recent events.

I really should get around to the "post-truce changes" that I will add to the entries in the "Unarchived Missions" section.  I've done all the introduction and seduction missions, so all I have to do is go through them and add the changes.  Plus, I've retrieved the dialogue I missed in "Digital Disturbance", so I should remove the "can you help me with this mission" entry directly below it.

4/16/08 - I've separated the "Character Details", "Item Details", "Miscellaneous Documents", and "NPC Dialogue" sections into smaller sections so they're not just giant pages. There are a number of updates in these new sections, too.
#36300442959 04/16/2008 07:16:32 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

9/23/08 - Finally got around to updating the site. I've added logs to chapters 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. I've also updated the Character and Item Details sections, along the the "NPC Dialogue" and "Miscellaneous Documents" sections. I hope this is the first of many updates as I catch up with things.

Sorry this took so long, everyone.  I've been very busy. SMILEY
#36300506153 10/04/2008 23:47:05 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

10/05/08 - The long road to catching up continues with a log added to chapter 2.1, and a slight update to the Character and Item Details sections.
#36300514366 10/27/2008 04:09:08 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

10/27/08 - Added a log to chapter 3.3, and updated the "Logging Tips" and Links pages.

Not only did I add some links, but I changed the link to the official Matrix site so it points to the actual site and not the Ultimate Matrix Collection's Bluray site.

#36300519560 11/12/2008 07:32:41 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

   11/12/08 - Added logs to chapters 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3.

#36300522607 11/22/2008 06:45:24 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

11/22/08 - Added logs to chapters 5.1 and 5.2. Plus, I updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", and "NPC Dialogue" sections.

#36300552666 04/01/2009 04:27:51 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

3/31/09 - Updated chapters 5.3, 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3. I've also updated the "Character Details", "Item Details", and "NPC Dialogue" sections. Sweet, it's a Matrix tenth anniversay update. SMILEY

#36300553129 04/04/2009 09:20:00 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

4/04/09 - Updated chapter 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3, plus a slight update to the "Character Details" section.

Finally uploaded a log that a LESIG character told me to temporarily hold back.  It's been nearly two years, so I felt that enough time had passed.

Ah, it ended up in Chapter 1.1.  Guess I forgot to indicate to the log submission part of the site where it was supposed to go, and it defaulted to that section.  Moved it to where it's supposed to be.

Whats the log name? Where is it now? Purely out of interest of course.

#36300558697 05/28/2009 22:16:10 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

Now that MxO is coming to an end (and honestly, while it's unfortunate, a part of me is happy), I'm going to answer a few questions that might be forming in your minds about my site.

   (1. I will not be shutting down my site.  Ever.  It will stay up for at least as long as I live (which hopefully will be several decades, at least).  In that time I will continue to update and maintain the site.  I have no reason not to.

   (2. I will continue to do my best to fulfill my goal of bringing a complete archive of MxO's live events, missions, etc. to the fandom.  It's going to be difficult now, but who knows what the future will bring?  And since SOE and WB will be holding onto the game's code and data, then there's at least a chance that I may be able to get my hands on it somehow, even if it's not going to happen until the far future.

   (3. I will now have more time to bring my site up to date, so don't worry about that.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.  This would also be a good time to send in plenty of logs and/or screenshots, because I can't do it alone and I really need the help.  With MxO gone, we're now the only ones who can bring the story to the Matrix fandom.  Let's let it be known for years to come.

Edit: I highly suggest that people start saving as much as possible.  If you have any emails from live event or LESIG characters, save them.  If you know of any character details that I don't have (or have the details for ones that are currently blank on the site) then please send them to me.  This eventuality is one of the reasons I made my site, and any contribution no matter what the size will be appreciated.

The Matrix trilogy will be around for a long, long time.  It will most likely outlast all of us.  There will always be new Matrix fans and at some point they're going to learn about MxO and want to know what happened.  We need to set aside any differences and drop any roleplaying viewpoints we have.

How far along are you with mission transcripts? I was dabbling in archiving the neighbourhood contacts before the announcement but now we've really gotta up the ante if we're going to get everything down on paper. Let me know what you're missing and I might be able to help ya out.

It's important this stuff is preserved and I've always commended what you've done. I pray your site never goes down.

Othinn, you truly have an amazing site.  I know you've been given a hard time by LESIG and other players, but in the end you now have the most accurate preservation of our history and our experiences.

Only a fool wouldn't cherish this.

Thank you, sir.

Mission transcripts on my site mainly involve stuff that isn't available as an archive mission.  I know Vesuveus is going to grab tons of screenshots of the neighborhood contact missions and Pandora's Box missions (among other things).  Though it wouldn't hurt if you completed that Pandora's Box thing you were posting on the matrixfans2007 forum. ^_~

Edit: Oh, I forgot to add that, if there is anything I need help with mission-wise, it's the graduation missions (you know, the "Meet [Character Name]" ones).  I've pretty much got all of the Zion ones down (except the "post-Lock" versions of some of them, but I can work on that on a Zion alt).  But I need screenshots or transcripts of the Machine and Merovingian graduation missions past the 81 rep ones.

#36300560257 05/30/2009 09:19:39 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

Hmm... Will do on the PB thing. ^_^

Was thinking about the early archives as well. We've got fairly detailed stuff post 5.3 (I think, can't be arsed to look up the exact chapter) from Rare's summaries and notes but the earlier stuff could do with some filling out.

Might hold off on the contacts if Vesu's got it covered. He can let me know if he needs any help.

As for Rep, probably gonna be the most challenging unless devs up the rate.

Yeah, I think I might be able to hit 112 on my alts, but it's the 127 rep that I'll have difficulty with.  I seem to recall that the Merovingian 127 mission lets you go into Club Hel, and some people keep this on their mission screen so they can have parties there.  So I may be able to find someone like that.  I'm not sure about the Machine 127 mission.

Edit: Oh, another thing I forgot to mention is in-game emails from live event or LESIG characters.  It would be nice if people started sending them to me.  Spread the word that I need those emails.

#36300560354 05/30/2009 13:39:59 Re:I've made a website for archived live event transcripts.

Hey Othinn.

First of all, I don't have the character details for Entropi and BrickDissuader. I checked.

I updated the "About" section of my blog with all the character names that were listed in the Profiles folder in my MxO directory, so that should give you all the character names that I know about at the moment. I omitted all the random broken program names as they didn't have any interesting details anyways, just "This program appears to be broken."  There's some others that are on a different account that I ran on a different computer that I can look up at the end of June.

I was considering just sending you my entire collection of MxO screenshots if you want them. Almost all of them are of LESIG chars or LE chars. And quite a few of them have dialog of people talking to my characters. Sheesh, looks like I have quite a few archives.
There's 162 of 10011 before he joined LESIG, 541 that look like a mix of Entropi, TheWatchmaker, SgtSteele, and the Jokers. Then 811 of mostly Entropi and the Jokers, but a few from the start of the KYEO storyline. Those 811 also include lots of images from the Joker finale, including the Morpheus sim code bombing. My last archive has 499 screenshots of the crew.

Then my current screenshot folder has another 800 of the crew. Some quick math... and... about 2800 screenshots total. They're yours if you want.

Oh, and those last two sets of screenshots are largely taken through the eyes of the crew, which makes for some interesting vantage points.

I also have LOTS of chatlogs, but I might want to go through those and censor portions that contained private conversations between myself and other LESIG members, so those might take longer to get to you.

Hey Othinn.

First of all, I don't have the character details for Entropi and BrickDissuader. I checked.

About the details you don't have, if you still have them in your Profiles folder, look for a .cfg file called "mcd" and open it.  It should be in there.

Would it be possible to give me a list of the broken programs and the like?  It would be easy to add them if their details are the same.  I used to omit character details that weren't much to look at (mainly bluepills whose details just said their name) but nowsdays I add them as well so people can use the character details section as a kind of character list.

I would like the screenshots you have.  I'd like to point out that anyone can register at the Image Dump section of my site and upload their screenshots at their leissure.  No one has signed up yet. SMILEY

And I understand that you'll have to censor portions with private conversations with other LESIG.  I'm not interested in any OOC dialogue from characters.  Though if there's any in-character stuff I'd like to have it.

Okay, I'll get you the complete list of everything listed in the profiles folder. It's funny, Schwartzwald is in there dozens of times because he kept getting deleted and moved to another server every day.

I'll look up the mcd.cfg too. You only need the details for Entropi and BrickDissuader?

And for the 2800 screenshots, it might be easier if I put them in a .rar or something. I don't want to have to upload them one by one.

The chatlogs will probably take me some time to get to you because I'm not sure I'll have time for it for awhile and editing them could be very tedious given their length. But I promise I will do my best to get them to you eventually.
