Total damage (aside from being a real pain to add up) tends to favor the people with a knack for finding events first, and it favors certain loadouts more than last hit does, I think...although neither of them can be called very balanced in that regard. But in general I need to have people at least somewhat hopeful that they have a chance at a prize in a combat event, and if that makes it a bit tougher for the people who tend to dominate events...well, those people are already relatively well catered-to. I have to spread the goods around. Really, I'd be thrilled to pieces if some lowbie n00b managed to wander in and score the last hit. 'Course, with last hit being more random-ish, that can also backfire once in a while *cough* Vector *cough*.
Remember the Maxson event? :p
Hmm..fair point i guess, i *do* remember DJSpartan having a lowbie on recursion and landing a last hit on one of the giant yeti's with a logic cannon 1.0. The laughs we had on vent about that...
So in a perfect world, time permitting, you'd be able to run both?

Yeah I'd love a most damage award for the Smith Virus event on vector. I think Tseng got the killing blow and already has a ton of event rewards. Meanwhile the most damage had to go to someone on my team of 4 since we got the CQ for the kill. The team consisted of Desc1ple (50), Apost1e (50), Darkkwave (50), and Noobhammer3000(36). Our faction has no event rewards, and we out did everyone else in damage for that event and come up empty handed. Oh well you win some and you lose some.Well on recursion the DOE's team of six got the most damage and kill shot.
Oops, I forgot that a member of our faction on syntax got a reward for finding one of the Morph look-a-likes at the fake Morph hunt event.

VitaminI [Damage] and Trilateral [Killing blow] ended up with "good job" e-mail from Gray, thats about it
That and the way CQ's are rewarded isn't really reliable at all.
I got a few hits in on spartan7 the other day and someone else who helped him kill poor little me but when they died I still got cqs.. from both of them! ..And I was just laying there, dead!
Outrageous!

And you can be a blue rezzer and kill the entire purpose of the reconstruction process, and hurt the flow of combat. *roll eyes*
Well I could spam area heals?
And recontructing stops the flow of combat, a quick rez and they are back into the action.

Reconstructing forces the dead to go through the process before they can return to combat. If your flagged and rezzing, the person deserves the rez. But if your blue rezzing your destroy any "ebb and flow " to combat.

Unless you want ALL rezzes to flag someone, in which case you can get the hell out of Recursion.

Nope. I just think its a rather crappy way to go about farming CQs. Sitting on a team blue rezzing.
I still only have 240cq....
I earned about 100 of them by fighting myself though.

There are evidently a few things established in the movies that they'd rather we didn't mess with too much, but I haven't heard that they had any particular goals in mind for the continuing story when they handed it off to Paul, other than the first year's "peace and what people do etc" theme that they gave him.Question regarding MxO story writing:
Do you know if the Wachowskis have set certain aspects and questions, like character backgrounds or fates, or elaborations of the universe, to be answered in MxO in a special way?
For example (I'm not asking about these particular things): Seraph's history, or Neo's connection to the Source in the Real or the nature of the yellow vision. Just the stuff I'm talking about.
Or did they just leave it open for Chadwick and the "team" to answer on their own?

Which character do you identify with the most LE wise?

Exactly, it is a little tally that gets you no recognition. One guy on Syntax has over 23k cq (how I dont know) and I bet a lot of people here couldnt name him.
I, on the other hand, rarely PvP and if I do, I lag so bad it isn't very enjoyable, I make myself useful by rezzing, if they meant something I would be in my fighting gear earning them... but they dont... so I wont.

Yes.
Malphas doesn't hate everyone, and besides...who care's what Malphas thinks? He's a slave. Flood's once overtly hateful behavior has/had been displayed in sly, subtle remarks and gestures.

No, it's not "he doesn't hate anyone". You don't know that he hates everyone, because he's quiet and does it secretly.Yes.

Well, when I read what rare said it made me think more of Ghost than anyone else. I think that's who he would most be like.
Malphas is rather boring and pedantic. He's just about the facts. I seriously doubt he is a frothing cauldron of rage on the inside. Flood, on the other hand, is a hateful little fellow. When will people learn the meaning of the word "secretly"? This applies to both Malphas and Flood.

I rather like the Ghost theory.Hm, it would fit Malphas better from all we know.

I always think that Malphas hold the same mentality as I (this being gathered from both critical missions and some private encounters Pre-SOE), which is everyone is a tool. He doesn't hate others, but rather finds them usable...a lower standard, if you will. Egotism is a must with him, not contempt.
Some may view that as the reverse.

will there be a massive smith brawl in debir court for the end of the aniversary tomorow ?Oh, I don't know.

Will we ever see anything added to the game that we can trade our CQ's for?

I hope not, a ranking system of somekind yes, but this would shun a lot of the community from rewards.
*EDIT* When will 'Ask the Devs an MXO question v.6' start?

Most of Vector can be jealous of that guy (if you're after CQ's that is). 23k of CQ's, on a non-hostile server, for gods sake!
Aside from Krytical and Untouchable and a few others with multiple 50's he does have more than anyone over here.
