Considering that SOE has The Matrix license and the experienced staff (content, event, community), how would you feel about a sequel to MxO?

Sequel is important because we know the woes with the current engine, an expansion would be nice to but a brand new game would be wonderful. I would really love to see a new mmorpg based on this license and I am sure many more would like the same. There are thousands, millions of people who love the movies and would want a game living to its name. The question is: would SOE/WB even be interested?

Speaking to a few friends, they liked the idea of a online petition and written letter to SOE/WB but most, sadly, do not believe it will make a difference. They may be right but I do believe that if we can get enough signatures on such petition, SOE will have a look at it. Would you support such project?

And finally what features would you love to see in mxo 2.0? I'd like to see stuff like:

Playable bluepill introduction (starting off getting weird messages like mr anderson, secret meetings, agent chases)
The Real (Hvcfts management and battles, maybe not Zion. Similar to jump to light speed in swg)
More locations (Airport, shopping malls, police stations, prison, football stadium, hospitals...)
Better travel management (more interactive subway system? phones in buildings, less hardlines, motorbikes)
Honor system pvp
Territorial pvp
Melee weapons, more guns
New storyline (breaking the truce?)
And of course more staff dedicated to live events

Feedback please SMILEY

How many times do we have to go through this, with the funding SOE gives to the game and the shortage of a dev team we have, no there will be no expansion or MxO 2. Unless of course SOE can stop being such dicks and fund/market the game more.

Never say never! And maybe the community can convince SOE to do something about, hence this idea of a petition. It may take a while to get enough signatures and it may not work but at least we have tried.
Because if we sit here complain and do nothing about it, it's not going to help either. We are the consumers, SOE wants our $ and we have a voice. I think it could work with a positive approach.
