The more i think about it the more it makes sense and the more passionate i become, it's not every day i post over here and i hope people like the idea.
Ok people, what are your thoughts on the idea of making player's missions, as they're leveling up, 'force' them into appropriate level neighbourhoods/districts?
Just think about it for a second, it'd provide such a nice progression to the game and get people the hell out of those slums and apprechiating/exploring/using the rest of the world.
Perhaps the single greatest mistake i see is people grinding away in the slums and missing everything else out there till 50 when all that old content is useless to them.
I think if the above system ever were implemented it'd do wonders for 'filling' the game out.
As an extension to the above, when they reached 50 they could mission wherever they wanted - that make end level nicer too.
It'd keep things interesting throughout also - having to deal with mobs of your level (ah - i remember the exileration of avoiding/fighting mobs)
On that tangent, it'd give the game more nessecary outdoor fighting (which doesnt spaz out as much as mission area fighting)
Come to think of it, that'd make it that much more 'on your toes' and 'matrixy' too.
And give that much more purpose/incentive to access nodes.
Note: There are new/other ideas being discussed later in the thread
