Ok, let's face it, why would an operative still use a clunky cell phone? Nowadays we have earpieces like blue tooth. Can't we have an item that allows us to talk into a blue tooth headset instead of a cell phone when we call for our missions, we could just use our ear piece!

Much like the item used to remove the "bug" from Neo in the first movie? It doesn't exist in the simulation, but Redpills can make it exist.

My Char uses a mobile but it's just to add to the general illusion. He wouldn't need it. Anything he needs he has on his left arm SMILEY
