Browsing problems after forum maintenance? Try clearing your cache/data.

We've had a few forum maintenance periods over the past few days. After these periods, I found on one or more of my computers at work, even on multiple browsers, that I couldn't get certain posts or forum pages to load up, or that I was shown logged in as "Anonymous," and got stuck at a black screen if I tried to re-log.

I've heard from a player that others are experiencing similar problems at the moment. I can't speak for everyone, but what fixed me up was closing all but one browser window, going to a non-station.com site, going into my browser's options (both Firefox and Internet Explorer), and clearing out my browser's cache, cookies, browing history, etc, then returning to the forums. You probably don't need to do all of that, but if you're having similar problems since the last forum maintenance we had mid-Friday, at least clearing your browser's cached data may help.

I'm sure some of you will have more knowledge/information about this than I do, so please feel free to post whatever information you feel may be useful for helping your fellow players get back to being able to frolic on these crazy forums of ours.

I too have been having trouble, often logging in only to be re-directed to a blank 'security check' website. Upon returning to the previous page I find I am logged in as Anonymous.

The problem seems to rectify itself after a period of time, but Rarebits' solution seems to be much more efficient.
