I'm sure everyone has heard of the child sex abuse sting operations that news agencies all across the country have been doing lately, most notably Dateline NBC's "To Catch a Predator" shows. I first heard about them from a friend who showed me the comedic Bro *CENSORED* parody about college guys getting caught trying to *CENSORED* each other.
Well, as it turns out, a guy who lives just down at the end of the hall in my dorm was one of six men who just got busted by Portland's local CBS affiliate, KOIN 6 News:

He drove up to Portland this week, thinking he was going to have sex with a 13 year-old-girl. Overnight, he lost all of his college financial aid, probably got expelled, will end up as a felon and a registered sex offender, and could face 5 to 10 years prison time.
It didn't take us completely by surprise, since this guy was a little too open about his intimacy (he and his girlfriend were gettin' it on while one of my close friends was playing X-Box just a few feet away in the room). But to take advantage of a little girl... just sickening.
I just hope this message becomes pervasive enough that nobody in this country even thinks about doing something like this anymore. It has to stop.
