There already is a Rare one, the teal mohawk. :O

Anyway, that would be a great addition, but I can't help but think everyone would use it just to have the "new" look and everyone would look like clones.

Well I don't want to hear any complaining when teal mohawks replace MKT as "flavor of the month".

Or rare as in only a few available per server, now that'd be too cool.

Thanks Rare,
These pills will be a great addition to RP for mxo. Just need to make sure that the RPer uses the pill that won't change their appearance...or at least not noticable ones. I think it'll be a neat bluepill thingy.

BTW, are there pills available to change eye color only? Cause during character creation some combinations can't change eye colors.

#36300156907 02/03/2007 07:14:12 Re:Image Retrieval - January 31, 2007
This is what I'd asked for in another thread, great news that its being implemented an that there are animations starting to be made. I assume that you can change builds too (this is one of the things I didn't want, I think that sometimes the choices you make should be ones you live with) I also assume that you won't be able to gender change and blue pill name change (i.e.  be a completely different person - going too far) I wonder,  will we get previews about what's about to change? I wouldn't want to take a pill stating make-up 14 or hairstyle punk, without knowing what it looks like first....
#36300157211 02/03/2007 16:01:55 Re:Image Retrieval - January 31, 2007
RSI Pills cannot change your gender.  This is partly because your gender is something that cannot be changed by normal means and partly because values for other RSI traits do not remain consistent across genders.
RSI Pills cannot change things that cannot be changed in the RSI design stage of character creation.  They are there to give you the ability to remake a choice that may have been remade wrongly.  This means no special eye colors and no unique tattoos, unless of course such things are added in the future.
RSI Pills have item icons indicating what aspect they will change in the form of tiny little screenshotted pictures.
The more extreme changes, such as body-type will be found in high level dungeons, while lesser changes can be found in lower level dungeons.
Other character details such as handle and bluepill name will not be changed.  Think of RSI pills as a way to go back to creation and change your choices, one category at a time.

Why are people taking body type as a major change? surely its just like gaining/losing weight? =P

I personally think face and skin tone are the most extreme changes (heck, i sometimes wonder if they should be included at all) and should be handled appropriately as high level pills. I mean they can change everything about what makes us US - our physical facial features and ethnicity are major shizney.
#36300157272 02/03/2007 17:16:20 Re:Image Retrieval - January 31, 2007
Come to think of it you're right, I guess as far as RSI Pills go, the extremity of a change is judged more by the changes to the model of your RSI than by equivalent real-life efforts.

MXO body types are not just a difference in muscle mass as far as I can tell by looking at the models. It's more apparent in the males than in the females, but anyway the types are entirely different morphologies--the heavier bodies have larger bone structures than the lighter bodies. The slender male body type would never look like the heavy body type, no matter how many weights he lifted and how many 'roids he took.

All well and good, and thanks for explaining that, never really payed that much attention before.

But looking at it from a perspective of character i would personally say turning from black to white or suddenly having a different facial bone structure, new nose, new eyes, new mouth etc is somewhat more 'radical' than gaining a six pack or having a boob job ( come on, we all know thats pretty much all female body types are SMILEY )

This of course excludes the extreme case of Micheal Jackson SMILEY

Also some people want to change the body type because the heaviest set of body (Type 3) shoots different with dual pistols/pistols outside of IL than Type 1 or 2 (Type 1,2 much cooler IMHO)

They run and walk different too.
I always found that quite a cool feature, that we have different sets of animations for the body models.

He's right. If any of you got the Gargoyle disguise for Halloween, you would've noticed this.

For the skinny or medium body types, the pistols shoot like this:

L             R

Boom

            Boom

Boom

            Boom

On the heavier body types (and on Gargoyle), the pistols shoot like this:

L              R

Boom

Boom    Boom  <----same time

Something like that, anyway.
